Third Puscifer album released on October 30th. I wonder if that is intentional.

Re: General Tour Discussion Thread

2020 tour dates that were originally postponed are now cancelled. It is bummer in some ways, but honestly I think it is the right move. It is better to give everyone their money back and wait until it becomes more clear when things will get back to normal.

Re: Tool North American Winter Tour 2020 (With Author & Punisher)

I am going to the San Jose show for sure. I got a ticket to Fresno before the San Jose show was announced. Since San Jose is so much closer to me, I am not sure if I will go to Fresno. If ticket transfers are available (won't know until the 'ticket hold' is over at the beginning of Jan) for Fresno, ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Fuck the Grammys Something I find interesting (which I didn't know until fairly recently) is the fact that for a band to be nominated for a Grammy, a song has to be submitted in order for it to be considered for a nominated. Tool seems like a band who would be all about the 'Fuck the Grammys" ...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

@ Nousername - did you dig any of the other bands at all? Would you have gone without Tool headlining? Yeah, I still would have gone. Enjoyed quite a few bands this weekend. The Hu, Gojira and Geezer Bulter's supergroup Deadland Rituals (which played a bunch of Sabbath songs) were really fun bands ...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Aftershock set was amazing! Good to see the new songs! I was really hoping for Invincible and Pneuma, very glad they played both songs. Fear Inoculum sounded great as well. Short set, only about 80-85 mins. Looking forward to see a headline show whenever they come back to Northern California. Despit...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

At least we have a timeline for something... Maybe, but I got two emails with the exact same text. One for ToolArmy and one for Megadeth's (the free, lower tiered version) CyberArmy. Megadeth doesn't have an album coming out anytime soon. I think many of these fan club websites were hosted by the s...

Eat The Elephant lyrics now posted on the APC website. Noticing it for the first time, not sure if it was just posted or the APC site's new layout made me just notice it now.
Either way, now I know it's "the new beatitude" not "the newbie attitude ".

Re: LESSER KEY (Paul D'Amour)

This last post being four years after the seconed-to-last post reminded me that I never actually reviewed this band when I saw them live in 2014 opening for Cynic in Oakland. Memories have faded but I will post what I do remember: I listened to and liked Lesser Key's EP before I went to the 'Cynic w...

Re: APC Tour 2018 discussion (includes spoilers!)

San Jose show kicked ass. Band sounded great. Stage production is ever evolving, getting pretty big at this point. Bigger than last year, which already was starting to get more flashy. Visualizer type screens, spinning stage lights of various colors, etc. Greg Edwards was a good fit, sounded and pla...

Re: Random 'A Perfect Circle' Social Media Thread

Now that the Smashing Pumpkins have released dates for their reunion with James Iha, I think it is likely that APC might replace JI for their tour. APC's tour is two and a half month, ending July 1st. The Smashing Pumpkins have a 2 month tour starting July 8th. One week seems like a very short time ...

Re: Legend Of The Seagullmen

Enjoy the album. Pretty on point to what they sounded live on NYE: Fun bunch of prog-rock songs. Got to take more listens/read lyrics to fully get the whole story plot. Just cool that a bunch of musicians just get together to make wacky songs just for the fuck of it.

Re: Legend Of The Seagullmen

The songs sounded great! The only songs I have heard previously were the two songs they released as a demo years ago. But I would say those songs are a good representation of all their songs; Story telling prog rock. I can't recall the # of songs played, but I think it might have been all of them fr...

Well, I bought a Coachella ticket last year, knowing I can sell it if the line up sucks. Well this year APC is playing the last day, so I guess I am going.
I know most people on this forum don't like APC and hate festivals... But I'll have fun seeing them in the desert.

Re: Random 'A Perfect Circle' Social Media Thread

Good song. Think it is put together well. One of Billy's recent interviews he was saying how giving a song " room to breathe" can add to it. I think this song is an example of what he is referring to. It makes me curious about what the flow of the album will be like when it does come out.

Re: Legend Of The Seagullmen

First show was great! Opening for Primus got them a very enthusiastic crowd. The bands sounded great! The live setting gave a bit of a heavier sound, which is common. They played a 45 minute set. There wasn't too much in terms of stage production, other than the costumes. 4 out of the 7 of them were...

Yeah, Five Finger Death Punch is massive in the US. They are one of the most popular modern metal bands here. They are not my thing, but they have a lot of very passionate fans. LOTS of bros. It is a bummer Judas Priest isn't headlining, they are still one of the best live bands. But guess that's th...

Liking the new song. Sounds different, but that is expected: Emotive was different than 13th Step, and 13th Step was different than Mer De Noms. Anyway I am looking forward what is next with APC. Looking forward to seeing new song at Aftershock.

Legend Of The Seagullmen

Now that Legend Of The Seagullmen are playing their first show, I thought I'd make a post about them. For anyone who doesn't know, they are a band that features Brent Hinds of Mastodon and Danny Carey. The two songs released a few years ago were pretty decent. The band is intended to be a 'multimedi...
