I watched an awesome interview with Frank Zappa on Youtube tonight where he talked about how important it was to not mislead fans... Refreshingly 35 years ago... Take a leaf FFS.....

I was genuinely hoping for something. I try to be optimistic as much as possible, but that is dying fast....

The only time I have seen TOOL at a festival was the Big Day Out 2011 (I missed 2006) there were 50,000 people there and we stood a long way back... It would be awesome to see TOOL and Primus at a smaller festival venue like this one sounds to be.... Not to mention the potential for cool inter-band ...

The forum is alive today... lot's of interesting reading. I personally hope it is not just a show date they are going to announce, mainly because I live so far away.... I really hope it is some real info on the 'curveball' or the album...

In any case at least the last few months have provided some genuine positive news. That picture is awesome, I got all nerdy at work looking at all of the studio gear with lights ablaze... I can't wait for whatever it is that they are doing to get released...

I'm of the belief tool has a lot more of this album done than they let on. With everything danny has said over the years, Justin mentioning it being the biggest project of their lives like 3 years ago. How could members of the band be talking that way when all they had done up to that point was jam...

So is he saying they can now record stuff at the loft or what? Like at a higher quality than their usual recordings of their practice sessions? It's an interesting one. I'm not sure why they'd need to improve the vocal recording parts of the Loft after all these years, unless they're actually plann...

Agree mate... I grew up listening to Rage (teen angst)... But I also learnt to play bass (finger picked) because of my love for this band... As I have gotten older I still love what they meant to me. I agree they were painting political art, they were not politicians....

Listened to - Shrine of the new generation of slaves... I think it is great.... Lots of Steve Wilson inspired stuff, which is awesome. I like where the Bass sits in the mix....

In case you didn't know, Riverside is releasing a new album this year. If you haven't heard them I highly recommend that you check them out! Amazing polish prog. I didn't know...
