RDR2 was a GTA5 skin with some improvements, and I love it despite all that.

The best games tend to come out towards the end of the cycle, so aside from the cynical take regarding money making (I doubt RS will have any problems where regardless of timing) it should be a good thing.

Yeah, they announced this a few months back. This is in my calendar - but every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to be touring in the next 6 months, and the wallet can only take so much.
