I have been listening to 'Jimmy' a lot the last few days... I think "under a dead Ohio sky" is an amazing lyric....
Be good to each other.
Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
Isn't it a bit redundant? He could just say 'under an Ohio sky'... Gets the same point acrossPimPle wrote:I have been listening to 'Jimmy' a lot the last few days... I think "under a dead Ohio sky" is an amazing lyric....

Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
It's dumb. How can the sky be dead? It makes no sense. Jimmy must have been smoking the same shit my little girl likes when he wrote that.
Don't mow your lawn
Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
The rolling effect from the other 3 is still the best part anyway.
also, Avatar!
Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
The sky in Gary Indiana is more dead that any sky in Ohio.
It smells horrid as well.

the faq was that
i got a proper Tool boner after 2-3 years
at least for an hour or so
Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
That's an insanely good performance. Notably the very extended end to Parabola (which I've raved about on here before)._peterpwn wrote:

Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
Anyone got anything nice to say about Tool now that it's 2019? We got the grudge thread, thought I'd even it out now that we have actual shit happening this year.
I'll start. Maynard's voice has gotten better and I'm curious to see if the two new songs are any indication on overall direction in the album.
Not sure if it's just because he's been able to rest it, or if he's finally learned how to control it better.

Invincible is absolutely fucking incredible.
MayJay does sound pretty bloody fantastic for someone that's been in the game for 30 years in multiple bands.
Not that I'm the least bit surprised but Danny still shreds.

I was getting into Tool when I was getting into bass, so naturally he became a huge influence and will always get my vote as one of the best bassists out there.

Re: Tool - Nothin But Love
You know it's a big deal when Moggers is praising Maynard. Seems time has been good to you my friend. He does sound good, but needs to take it easy. Damn near hit the same notes as in 98.
