There seems to be a few issues with PMs and Spam at the moment, as it appears spam user accounts are currently able to bypass the site security. The reality is the PHPBB version used for this site is well out of date, and needs a significant (and most likely feature breaking) upgrade.

While I plan the process, I've disabled private messaging for all users. Feel free to let me know if you get spam messages despite this setting change. If you don't know how to do so already, just use the Fourtheye Contact page: http://www.fourtheye.net/contact/

Likely to move the forum to PhpBB 3.2 this evening. The forum may go down for a while (I'll place it in maintenance mode) but shouldn't be more than an hour or two.

There will then be some time assessing and restoring some of the functionality we're using, as 3.0 and 3.2 mods are not compatible, and I'm not sure how many have replacement mods (though it appears 3.2 has plenty of good out of the box additions).

Should be interesting!
