Listened to the new Foo Fighters and Prophets of Rage albums today. No surprises on either of those albums really, Foo Fighters are still radio rock, and Prophets of Rage just RATM with different rappers.

I will say that I thought the Prophets of Rage album is a little better than I expected (I had low expectations) and the tracks where they don't just try to sound like RATM with Chuck D/B-Real were the highlights.

Listened to the new Foo Fighters.... No surprises on either of those albums really, Foo Fighters are still radio rock....

Not sure if it's a combination of old age and the fact that there have been few if any decent new releases lately...but I found myself really enjoying this.

A decent if not altogether adventurous album.

After one listen I'd go with a 6/10. I think there were some decent songs, and a nice almost Floyd vibe in some parts. Also crushing mediocrity in others.

I certainly think it's better than the last few FF albums.

The new Portal track is ok.

I had a listen to the new Godflesh album as well. I don't mind it, prefer it over the last one, but it never really gets beyond "ok" for me.
