Newcastle were good tonight. A bit sloppy at the end but got the job done, with no Klemmer or Ponga made it a pretty good win.... Interesting to see if they can keep it going next week against Melbourne....

Mate that was a solid herpes sore too. Yeh they absolutely dominated once they got sniff. Didn't get to see it live which sucked. Queensland looked very ordinary against a way faster and stronger NSW team. I have that sinking feeling that the tide is turning and it could be a few lean years few Qld... but I really can't complain I have been spoiled for the last decade or so.

I am looking forward to the Knights V Broncos tonight. I think the Knights will towel them up and have tipped them (which means the Broncs will probably win).

Nah I see them as being pretty evenly matched. Qlds got some great talent in their team too, just had an off night. Is 'suncorp' magic just a recent thing? Because I recall Queensland being pretty dominant in the State of Origin in the last 10 years despite many games being played away from the venue

It's been a thing since 1980, no one gave Qld a chance after losing the first two games, then they played at Lang Park for the first time.

So in a 3 games series 1 game (sometimes 2) is always played at suncorp/lang park, which they almost always win, with the help of the refs/crowd/footy gods.
