I've written over 10,000 words this week in two assignments. That has to mean something.

I'll post abstracts/something resembling abstracts tomorrow if anyone is even vaguely interested.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

I managed to use a TOOL song lyric in my Holocene Extinction project as the last sentence.

Don't ask how, or why. My brain is fucking broken.

^ Haven't been able to check in all day, and when I do I find this.

I won't ask how or why, but you must share the last sentence (or paragraph) at least...

C'mon!

Direct copy-and-paste. It's my concluding paragraph:

An Undeniable Dilemma

The ongoing Holocene Extinction is a testament to how brutally human beings have treated the Earth since they gained consciousness and an awareness of their place within their surroundings. Human-caused extinction is estimated to be 10,000 times more than the acceptable, natural rate of extinction (Wikipedia, 2013). Human overpopulation is at the core of this ongoing extinction event; greenhouse gases causing climate change, deforestation, and hunting, being the continuing effects. Something has to change – it’s an undeniable dilemma.

I can't remember why or how I put it in there (I've written over 11,000 words this week); but I think I started out by typing "Something has to change" - and just went from there.

The title of the paragraph was totally intentional.

My brain is fucking broken, man.

I have just finished my third stop motion film (The Tool visuals have certainly been a great inspiration). I am still very new to animation so any critique is more than welcome! Hope you dig it!

Your Artwork

Post by TheBirdman » Sat Jan 25, 2014 10:52 am

Has anyone done any artwork you would like to share? In year 11 art class when I was 17 I used the 10,000 eye artwork and tweaked it a little bit and called it 10,000 days of sorrow. Image

Im kind of all over the place making stuff wise. I go through phases of lapidary and silversmithing with the odd attempt at drawing. Getting back into a lapidary phase at the moment. I love Rocks :)

Album art for a new release (CD launch June 27th) by The Left Hand of Darkness

I'll likely have a few copies in hand near the release date. If anyone's interested in this sort of thing, let me know.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STEM_fields

National Science Foundation

Many organizations in the United States follow the guidelines of the National Science Foundation on what constitutes a STEM field. The NSF uses a broader definition of STEM subjects which includes subjects in the fields of Chemistry, Computer and Information Technology Science, Engineering, Geosciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Social Sciences (Anthropology, Economics, Psychology and Sociology), and STEM Education and Learning Research.[1][6] Eligibility for scholarship programs such as the CSM STEM Scholars Program use the NSF definition.[7]

It is the only American federal agency whose mission includes support for all fields of fundamental science and engineering, except for medical sciences.

I did, for some reason I must have skipped over the STEMBE paragraph.

I wondered that too when I read it the other day. That foundation really went nuts with their definition.

I like my modified version better: It implies fields where you can actually get jobs and that have worth, as opposed to all the rest.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

No I'm not and I will not be lectured by a person that thought we have to reach a surplus to pay off our debts.

No other insult needed.

You may willfully misunderstand what I said all you want but your understanding of economics as a math problem says it all.

No, nope, no.

You said we have to have a surplus to pay back the debt.

So walk on.
