I don't know if it's technically a pet, but I've been hauling around the hollowed out torso of my old next door neighbor for a couple of months now.

just by looking at those pics, when no one's around, I bet your bird convinces the cat to make the dog do something risky lol.

The bird calls the cat and the dog in my voice. Also, he barks like the dog and meows like the cat. 600+ word vocabulary. He is quite the source of entertainment.

Here's a video of Ziggy from 7 years ago:

He is very lovable. He calls me and asks me for headrubs and dinner. He is a total clown and even laughs at my bad jokes. We can have short conversations at times. Ziggy turned 18 this year and I got him when he was 3 months old. I don't have any kids, so Ziggy is basically my son lol. A parrot like this needs lots of attention or he'll go crazy or be mean.

I gave him some pumpkin today when I was carving it.

That is a bit pricey. Mine was $850 when I got him. You can adopt one, they come up for adoption all the time here. Everyone wants one because they talk all day, and they match their modern furniture or whatever and then find out that they need attention like a kid and throw a few seeds on the floor and end up getting rid of them.

Thank you! I rescued him a couple years ago after my first mastiff passed away. I will always rescue from now on.

Now you're speaking my language! I spent 6 years in rescue. When Hothlanta happened in 2010, we had to evacuate the shelter. We were mainly a small/med dog rescue, but had the occasional large breeds. They called us to foster the brindled bull mastiff. His name was Dozer. He was a lean 130lbs. I slept in the guest room for a week so he would not have to sleep on the floor. The only dog ever allowed in the TooL room. I adopted him out to a lovely lesbian couple with another mastiff and a king sized bed for all four of them. Haha.
