I saw this artist in the movie the song is written for on a plane back from Hong Kong (amazing place - at night the city lights and those of the harbour structures look like a sci-fi landscape).

She was quite mesmerising. I'd love to see her perform live.

This is the first time I've listened to APC in like a year. I feel like I should listen to them more, but I kinda love coming back to them after awhile. They're always better than I remember them being.

I agree. I've honestly lost interest in Tool and I prefer APC over them atm. God, Brena is such a good song. Still a bit bummed that they released live albums from 2010, horrendous tour.

Does anyone definitively know who originated this vocal style? This is basically the new "Eddie Vedder Voice" for women. It is EVERYWHERE. Every singer/songwriter girl you see these days, be it nationally or at a local restaurant or something uses this voice. I don't even dislike it necessarily, it's just one of those weird things and I'm not as up on this sort of thing so I wonder if there's a kind of general consensus on who started this.
