Kiss is one of the single worst acts of that era I can think of. Much like Raven stated, the best kiss mixed tape doesn't exist and in a perfect world, neither would Kiss.

You've obviously extensively checked out their back catalog then?? Including their early New York Dolls styled material, which, by the way went on to influence bands such as..

Nirvana
Sonic Youth
The Replacements
Mudhoney
Melvins
Ministry
Tool
Soundgarden
Nine Inch Nails
Helmet
Anthrax
Metallica
Ramones
Guns n Roses

Kiss had about as much in common with Britney Spears as The Pop Group or The Fall have with Evanescence.

So fuck off.

Well, I do remember when I was a wee lad getting a cassette from the library which had this track on it:

I still have fond memories of its raunchiness.

To be fair, I don't think Kiss are that bad. I'd say I like them more than Pink Floyd.

KISS - was one of the first rock bands I heard as a youngster... I liked them, parents hated them and that's was enough to listen to them more and also attend my first ever concert. It was KISS and Ted Nugent, I had 6th row center and it was awesome to a young mind new to the rock scene. Sure, there music may be simplistic and not very inspiring but it carries much nostalgia with me and for that reason they still are enjoyed once in a blue moon... like now. I'm listening to them while writing this. I enjoy their early stuff before the makeup came off more than the music after.

Pink Floyd - Such great music has come from this group. Multiple masterpieces crafted from them over the years. Listening always transports me to a different world. A familiar place with many emotions and endless meditative opportunities. One of my favorite tunes - Fearless from Meddle

It doesn't get much better than this. Meddle is such a great album. I can't wait to see Pink Floyd later this year.

One of those links went to the Australian Pink Floyd, which is a licensed PF act, but most definitely NOT Pink Floyd. There are quite a few nationally and internationally PF touring acts.

With all the bad blood and history between Gilmour and Waters, but even more so the death of Richard Wright over 5 years ago, makes it essentially impossible to ever see the real Pink Floyd live ever again. There have been isolated one-off gigs over the years, as well as Gilmour's version of PF sans Waters touring twice.

When I listen to Pink Floyd it's either Meddle, Animals, or Obscured By Clouds.

My favorite Pink Floyd album is Animals. It's top notch from start to end. Tracks 1-6 in Dark Side might be the best thing they, hell ANYONE, has done. But the rest of it is ehhh.

Having said that, my favorite song of theirs is Time. Holy fucking shit that song, it's just, wow. It's ridiculous how it actually gets better with time. Phenomenal.

I really like Pink Floyd, lots of amazing songs. Wish you were here is awesome. I am intrigued by the cool things they did in the studio to get some of the sounds they used.

Marley himself seemed like a pretty cool dude, though I gotta admit don't know too much about him.

Other than a song here or there (Jammin'), his music does nothing for me. I don't hate it or anything it's just that if it's on I'll either forget it's on or I don't notice it at all.

Marley was charismatic as fuck, had great sidemen/women and wrote some excellent Pop/Reggae music and lyrics. Reggae is definitely not usually in my wheelhouse, but Marley made it onto most people's radar for the aforementioned reasons.

Just like many other classic artists, his songs have been beaten to a pulp on radio and in popular culture, so I can't really say I listen with any regularity anymore. But I have enjoyed most of his catalog for decades. Also, the shit can be fun to play on the guitar and everyone loves hearing it.

Not to spiral this thing out of control (what artist are we on anyway?), but Bob Marley really was amazing for a lot of subtle reasons, in my opinion. It's easy to shit on reggae, but his live performances of certain songs still resonate with me.
