I'm a fan of Marley, though don't listen to him with any regularity. I do really enjoy Get Up, Stand Up though

Suggestions for the new Artist of the Day are welcome!

Their first three albums were golden, and I'd say this is my favorite track of theirs:

Agreed - lost interest after the first 3 - unsure if me or the them - probably a bit of both. For me their 1st album is the best.

Great song live. Great air-drumming track too!! Steering wheel cops a hammering when it comes on in the car!!

Speaking of Mastodon and QOTSA, I am STILL looking for these tracks with Josh singing over Mastodon... :)

they've worked together?! I'm confused, enlighten me. because Homme and Mastadon sounds like a even better mix than a white Russian, dude.

Hey my East Coast brethren... didja listen to that track? It's a hidden snippet from the very end of Pendulous Skin off of Blood Mountain, and Mastodon are clearly bagging on Homme (I'm sure all in good fun).

But yeah, I'd like to hear that as well. Unfortunately it's not true.

^Josh did Vox on colony of birchmen if that counts as working together.

Honestly can't go wrong with this band, especially the earlier stuff. I dig them a lot even though I found the latest subpar, there are a few really, really good tunes. I don't overlook era vulgaris, either. There are some quirky bits and sounds on that record that really stand out because they're quite different from anything they'd done previously. All in all a solid rock band, revolving door or not who can put on a damn fine show. If you haven't seen it or your on the fence with these guys, go watch the 'over the hills' dvd... Also, the tour with NIN after lullabies was brilliant. The latest round in oz was good, but that was some unforgettable shit. No denying homme can write very solid, catchy hooks.

Also I should mention that I consider songs for the deaf a nearly perfect record ... It came out at exactly the right time for me... I love the riffs, the flow, the lyrical content, mark lanegan, Dave Grohl behind the kit where he belongs ... Yep, 9.5/10, kiddies

Qotsa are one of my absolute favourites and I have seen them very regularly since their inception . I saw them in Thebarton Theatre (holds about 2000 from memory) with Distillers as openers in 2004 and they lifted the lid! An awesome show and up there in my top five I reckon.

I loved Lanegan on vocals, Dave on Drums and Nick getting his kit off at a particularly hot festival afternoon slot was the only thing that made my girlfriend and I stand up one year; but the band is to me Josh Homme. It is his distinct sound, from his playing to his vocal and lyrics that stamp them (and anything else he plays in as well).

I had the best music/tripping combo ever to Rated R one evening and I love the latest album. To produce an album of that quality this many years on in their career speaks to the passion and absolute joy that always has been and still is evident in their music.

I never tire of seeing them.

I'm not one for playing DJ but I really enjoy slipping this one on at parties. Guaranteed to get people moving and focusing on the music.

I enjoy most of QOTSA but not all. As Hellboy stated the first 3 albums were great and probably their best. Lost Art of Keeping a Secret is near the top of my list for their songs..... and yes, Kyuss is way better in my opinion. 8-)
