You could tell he knew nothing about them as soon as he pronounced the band name as "Poo-sifer."

Really good/fun show in L.A. tonight.

Maynard sad he was fighting the flu, but everything sounded great from where I was in the balcony.

Missed meeting the chill (some other time & place perhaps), but I count myself extremely lucky to have met and acquired the signature of the notorious marcuspoop!

Had an unexpectedly fun time at the show on Friday. Dunno if it had been too obvious but I've seemingly started to become jaded and cynical to any/everything at all associated with the guys from the big, bad band of tool.

But this show was a lot of fun. Really nice mix of songs. Everyone sounded good and I didn't notice any obvious flubs. Man Overboard was boner-inducing. Love that joint. Plus, anything that involves luchador wrestling will instantly win over my heart. The venue itself was really cool too. Though I will say that we were in the upper balcony and there was barely anyone standing for most of (if not all) of the show. Wife got asked to sit down like 3 times during the first song or 2, so we just moved to the very back and rocked out with a handful fellow fans who wanted to stand and enjoy the tunes.

And like Norm mentioned, we got to meet up and put faces to names. And yes, he did get a personally autographed, authentic, one-of-a-kind markuspoop autograph. I'll add that both Norm and his friend, Scott, didn't seem to be murder-y or rape-y at all. So that was good.

Chatted briefly with Jimmy's wife before her husband went on stage. She seemed like a nice enough lady. Bumped into Billy Howerdel in the beer line and gave a quick 'hello.' Bumped into him again after the show and he had a tupperware full of what he said were homemade cookies he wanted to go up on stage to give the band but I think security denied him. Poor guy, he just wanted to give his buddies some cookies. Instead, he had to settle for this

I don't know. Sounds pretty far-fetched to me.

As a Tool fan, I have some really convoluted and highly unlikely theories on this that I'll be documenting and posting here in a 6 part series over the next several days.

I'm pretty sure those "cookies" Billy had were actually poison "cookies". You see Billy's sick of always playing second fiddle to MayJay so he's trying to make MJK sick so then he can become Adam's guitar tech again and inherit the Chrysler fortune.

I'll take that as an official MP endorsement. :)

Yet the friend couldn't get passed security to share baked goods. And was standing in the line with common folk for alcoholic beverages.

It was probably a surprise and it's not like Maynard hangs around out front anyways.

Yeah, I'm sure it was just a miscommunication, or markuspoop is just making shit up.

May-Mays better half was hanging out right next to the beer line with all the common-folk (that's when I chatted her up) too so I don't think it was totally a security issue.

Oh, and Billy's cookies looked to be oatmeal but I didn't ask.

Re: public areas at LA show.

The Theatre at the Ace Hotel has very little "backstage" area apart from a couple of dressing rooms. There was nowhere else for guests to hang out.

Yeah!!!! Take that haters who doubted my cookie story.

Hey Junior, any idea if the new puscifer tour will be any/if-at-all different from the just concluded tour?

No idea.
Seeing as this was just for 6 weeks, and the tour with the Airstream had a few rounds, I would guess another round would at least be similar to this one.
Then again, they may have discovered some tweaks they want to make and do something else.

Second round of dates are starting to make their way onto Ticketmaster. Dates for the most part seem to be in the northern half of the US.
