Just for the record, I got nothing. And I’m the brains behind this operation. It’s insulting actually.

Jeez Hellboy.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it won't be Jimmy. I'd suggest DC or JC, those two are chill as fuck (but obviously lazy...). I met them in a bar once years back.

Chances are if I do chat to a member, it'll be DC. But we'll see - there's plenty of water that needs to go under that bridge, so don't anyone get their hopes up.

i thought the most likely candidate was AJ. then, on the other hand...the last tool promo tour was done by DC and MJ

Yeah, depends a bit on how it pans out, but very open to the idea of reader contributions.

A question would be: Will this be their last album, as some people have suggested.

I was at one of the AJ talks and he said a lot of the reason Tool was not on the digital platforms was the whole "everyone suing every one" years and the lack of control they would have if they released digitally.

I mention this because I am pretty sure this is the last album under the current record label contract and it frees them up creatively going forward. But then again, none of them (or I) are spring chickens anymore. They might decide to go out in a blaze of glory with this as their last. **queue Young Guns II montage.

i met Danny after the APC shows when he was playing with the Pigmys. he hung out with everyone at the london, ontario show for like an hour afterwards behind the venue. at one point he had a lot of people around him and he looks off into the distance a bit and goes ''theres maynard!!'' and everyone looks..he starts laughing and said he does that when things get a bit much. he didnt leave though, still stayed for awhile. hes friendly for sure.

at one of the VIPs they answered no to that already. it could end up being that way but i get how they dont think of it like that. maybe it will be another 5 years like normal. maybe by a miracle it will be less. i dont think anyone knows. its just life.

Guarantee this will be their last full length album. Adam and Maynard are 55. Danny is 58. Justin is getting close to 50. 13 years between albums yeah this is it. We might get an ep or a track or two down the road. Maybe some unreleased stuff but not another full length.

That's very ageist of you young Mog. Funny thing is its possibly the young families that will slow them down. That and their poor work ethic of course.

There's really no reason why they can't do another album within 5 years. If we're assuming it will take 13+ years for another, then sure there won't be.

From the few vids I've seen and comments on here they seem to be in a good place at the moment so ya never know, they might feel inspired to keep writing. Not counting on it but wouldn't rule it out
