KYLESA

Post by joeypants »

Anyone fans and/or checked out Ultraviolet yet? After simmering with it for a week or so, I'm liking it a bit more. I was pretty underwhelmed on my initial listen. I still think on the whole it's a wee bit weaker than Static Tensions and Spiral Shadow, which were both amazing albums. But still, there's really great work on Ultraviolet.

If you haven't checked them out yet, I highly recommend. Nice psychedelic sludge-metal-rock type stuff with a little punk edge sprinkled in. Also another band that uses the dual drummer approach.

Here's a couple different ends of the spectrum with them:

I've listened to the new album, and I reckon it's pretty good, especially the second half.

Kylesa's Phil Cope and Laura Pleasant talk what kind of game would accompany their latest album.
