In case you're wondering what I'm thinking to myself right now...it sounds like that Catholic bishop in the Monty Python bit
about how 'great' god is and how 'awfully impressed we are' down here....

Heh, count away buddy!

Let's hope they can at least hand Miami a couple of losses now.

Miami in 6 is my pick.

Ok so another big lead blown for the clips.

As I said already I'll take Miami in 6.

OKC/Spurs is a tough one. OKC is the only team left who I think can beat the Spurs.

OKC in 6, but it has to be 6 (or earlier). It goes 7 Spurs win.

But OKC in 6, which I hate because I also think the only team left who can beat Miami is the Spurs.

Count another for me Piggy.... So sweet to see Griffin foul out and know it slipped away.

Chris Paul is amazing, feel bad for him.

And no Ibaka, no OKC win. As simple as that. Hope he is able to play at least a couple games.

I did pick OKC to win the series too though. What happened to Ibaka? I saw the game at a bar and I didn't see if anything (or I missed it) happened to him.

Spurs in 5-6. Definitely won't go to 7.

Yep, that changes everything. Last time they played in the playoffs it was actually Ibaka (and to a lesser extent Harden) that killed the Spurs.

Durant and Westbrook will still get theirs but it won't be enough.

Spurs in 6 is my new call.

Indy has home court today....

Will it be Heat or Pacers in Game 1?

Unfortunately, I think it will be the Heat. I'd like to see the Pacers take it and shake things up a little, but George and Hibbert have not been very consistent.

Since it's only two series now I'll take a stab on a per game basis

Mia, Ind, Mia, Mia, Ind, Mia

SA, SA, OKC, OKC, SA, SA

Well, great 1st 3 quarters for all the Indy starters. If they can keep up this level of play, it's anybody's series.
Ravenpig wrote:Mia, Ind, Mia, Mia, Ind, Mia

That's as good a guess as you can expect, but I'll go with this just to be different (same outcome):

Ind, Mia, Mia, Ind, Ind, Mia, Mia

SA, SA, OKC, SA, SA

Then:

SA, Mia, Mia, SA, Mia, SA, Mia.

So in your hypothetical Mia/SA rematch you have Mia winning 3 times AT the Spurs?? No way buddy.

Fuck you Cheese, ya instigator. Go watch Hockey.

@ Piggy - I'll live with my picks. It's not impossible. So far I'm at 100% while you're at 0% 8')

(Ya, I know my picks came after it was likely Indy would take game 1. )

Mia/SA is still chicken counting anyway so it doesn't matter. But Mia winning there 3 times is not gonna happen.

EC Finals Game 1 caught me by surprise but I suspect it's not gonna make much of a difference, especially if Miami wins game 2.

I am a huge LeBron fan as you know, and I am sure he will have a good series, but as much as I hate to admit it, Indiana is going to win this series. I was holding out hope, very quietly, that with Indiana's poor early play that the Hawks and then the Wizards would take them out. Once they got thru I had a bad feeling this was going to happen. Indiana is a match up nightmare for Miami. DWade has also lost a step. He had a good game one but his defensive output isn't what it used to be which is understandable given the condition of his knee. LeBron's great play this year (really should have been MVP) has allowed Miami to hide how bad Wade's knee has gotten. Add to that the fact that Indiana is a deeper team and Bosh is overmatched against Hibbert and you have a recipe for what happened in game one. Indiana is exposing the Heat as an old Basketball team. LeBron will get his, but Miami has no answer for Hibbert and Wade cannot shoulder enough load to help LeBron on both ends of the court. This series might not even get to 6. I suspect Indiana will win tomorrow, and Miami will probably pull out game 3 at home, but I do think the Pacers will steal game four and close it out at home in 5.

I will pull for LeBron until the end, but he can't win on his own. No player can. Bosh has always been overrated and will never be able to take over a game.

I do think Indiana's lack of consistency will get exposed in the finals though, likely against the Spurs. Can't see OKC beating the Spurs without Ibaka.
