Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I thought you'd remember the pillars, Junior! That venue was torn down around 2015 or so. Concerts stopped sometime before that though, not sure when. The last show i saw there was Skinny Puppy in 2007. That was a great show, the sound was incredible. Rush at the ACC in 2007 was another show that wa...

Ya, i remember the old Warehouse did have a pretty low backdrop ceiling thing. Those fn' pillars were annoying till they finally got rid of them. Back in 96' they were still there,if you remember those stupid things. probably though cause they sucked. haha
Yeah. I do remember those.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Hey Junior, thanks for the reminiscing. Quite interesting. This is better (from memory) than the TA section of the Tour Manager’s (?) posts during early 10KD touring (Anybody remember that?) Please feel free to keep sharing these. As best as I can recall, those were initially done by the Stage Mana...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Neat story about Limp Bizkit and that sound guy. Thanks for sharing those anecdotes. I should probably write them all down at some point. Eventually I likely won't be able to remember a lot of them. Well your starting to now kinda. Just copy and paste them or something. Its neat hearing this stuff ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I wonder what it was like working for Stabbing Westward, should have been a much bigger band, ah well. Yeah. It never quite clicked for them. I did the end of the "Darkest Days" tour, which was a fitting name for it as they were starting to slip away by then. The venue sizes were getting smaller. N...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

If working for Limp Bizkit was cool then thats good. i couldnt help that one though! I saw them in buffalo a week before we were going to Ozzfest 98' in Burgettstown. I had no idea who they were till we saw them at that buffalo show. They played all of ''Undertow'' before they came on which was nea...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Hopefully the nick mason show goes through next year. At least somewhat of the old pink Floyd. :) I've heard his shows are good. I haven't been in the same place at the same time to see any of them, though. Brit Floyd were doing "Fearless" last year, and didn't have a Pink Floyd performance referen...

nice, Clay Aiken... he's a local. He definitely stands out on that list lol.
I did 3 tours with him around 2004-2005.
He treated the crew very well.
The atmosphere was pretty easy-going.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Junior, thanks so much for putting that into perspective. I will admit that my statement was very selfish as I was only thinking about how it affected me. Unfortunately I think you are right and this is going to take a long time to come back even if a vaccine came out today. I wish you well and I h...

Yes, I already heard some of their arrangements on youtube and enjoyed it.

It's a pleasure to hear Danny play some other musical styles :D
Nice.
I just wanted to make sure no-one is expecting something like Volto.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

That chat was pretty interesting! Glad to hear that Danny will be releasing a new CD of one of his side projects (Webb Allstars). I loved the Volto record, so I can't wait to listen to this one 8-) It'll likely be a lot mellower than Volto. Webb Allstars (named for Doug Webb, saxophonist) tends to ...

Saw Iron Maiden on the World Slavery tour in the same place... I didn't get to see that one, but it was one of the first concerts I bought on VHS when I got my first stereo VHS machine in 1985. I'd always wished I'd seen that tour, and finally "kinda" got the chance 23 years later when I saw them p...

I was kinda expacting 7empest to be your answer and I was there when they debuted in Sydney. It does seem tough to play live.
Thanks for the update.
Cheers
According to the internet, they played it live 7 times.
So I guess that triggered the world shutdown.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I think Busty is talking about the song Lateralus here Junior, possibly in a provocative manner. From what you've seen though, which song do you reckon was the hardest for the band to put together? I was also talking about the song. They played it at almost every show for about 13 years (about 500 ...

I have always questioned if the back half of that song is really necessary at all as well. Typical making a song long for the sake of it approach I was kidding Busty, jebus, sacrilegious talk from you. Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Again, thanks for responding Junior. As long as you are visiting this site, I will keep having questions for you. Here is a good question for you. Do you know much about Masha Zaragan? She seems to be a very low key musician. I really don't know much about her. The first leg of the "Money Shot" tou...
