Re: New Music Thread

Never saw any mention of this. This band, Ceremony, has evolved into an entirely different band. This post punk style may be better than their traditional hardcore punk music they started out with.

Replace Danny? Who else could ever do the songs justice? You think the band would ever even for a second consider replacing any of them? They have said before they will play together until one of them dies..

Just sayin . . .
The Cure's song are much less demanding than Tool's, especially when it comes to the drumming.

Busty brings a very good point..

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

If at any moment at a Tool show you feel yourself being disappointed in hearing any of the greatest hits numbers, perhaps you should re-think your approach of living your life. Of course we all have songs we want to see live and hearing the whole album would be great, but anyone actually expecting t...

Re: Pneuma

Hmm, fair points. However, I limited my list to 12 songs here and had to exclude a few nice tracks I like such as Right In Two and No Quarter. Allow me to clarify though. 1) I agree with you regarding Parabol/a. I prefer it when they play the whole thing live but I know what you mean when Parabola ...

Re: Pneuma

Pretty sure Third Eye clicked with me straight away, 'blue as our new second sun' Well that must mean you're a genius!! I don't remember what my first impression was exactly. I think I liked certain parts right away and was intrigued by the drumming because I had just never heard anything like it b...

Re: Pneuma

I would put Parabol/a in that list. Clearly meant to be one piece of music. But I am actually glad they made it into two tracks because it can be fun to jump right into it and have it blast you off when least expecting it. Did you mean to not include Culling Voices? It's funny with these songs, I al...

Re: 7empest

The Tempest isn't an evil force. It is a natural reaction to unchecked 'negativity' of sorts. The songs starts out pointed at a generic idol of corruption, docuhbagery, malevolence etc, but the song steps backwards to discuss the meaning of this kind of behavior going on unchecked, personally and i...

Re: 7empest

Each song is like a whole album in itself with the amount of listenability you get out of it. People don't know what they're missing. It's puzzling that there are people who like Lateralus and 10k days but don't like FI. I get that Tool is not for everyone, but this should be exactly what a Tool fan...
