Re: The Grudge (WARNING: Ten Years, Shmen Years)
Got to admit it's kind of upsetting when you realize your some of your hero's are actually just fuckin assholes. Maynard, yikes man. SOME humility? Is that even possible at all? Denigrate the fan base that gave you everything good in your life. Your entire wine/Cadeucus business, A Perfect Circle, a...

Failure in Toronto
Hiyo! First review here. Saw Failure on they're North American reunion tour last night in Toronto, Canada. They are playing two shows here. I got into Failure in like 97 when Stuck On You was a minor radio hit and the band broke up. Been a very very big fan of their two best albums Magnified and Fan...

Re: New Album Touring
If Tool plays Coachella next year, I'd seriously consider going. I went to it in 2007 when Rage Against the Machine reunited. I think few music festivals are worth traversing a continent for and spending a few grand in the process. Coachella (irrespective of all the hype) is one of those. From my ex...

Re: New Album Touring
I think the fact if/when the new album comes around MJK and Adam will both have babies will effect the touring and frequently. I'd bet more on the big festivals for 2015 and one month max of touring at a time without a break. They've shown they will tour B grade North American markets recently. Oz/A...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Agreed.
Tool always seems like a strategic band.
They won't want to miss the festival cycle for 2015
Album released late winter/early spring in order to headline Coachella / Bonaroo / etc.
By that point MJK's baby will have arrived and Adam's won't be a new born.

Re: Maynard James Keenan
I'm usually in the fuck Maynard / blame Maynard / Maynard's a dick - camp. But after Cinquanta (night 1) a lot of that animosity changed. all hail Maynard for giving some of his biggest fans a hell of a show. all hail Maynard for giving (one of my favorite bands) Failure a quality showcase over 3 se...

Re: Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
Further to NS1's comment there were definitely some big Puscifer fans in my section. Was kind of surprising to see them not go nuts for Three Libras or Sober but lose it for some of the Puscifer material. I'm sure there are some people at these shows who favour Puscifer's eclectic sound over APC/Tool

Re: Cinquanta Night 1 Review - APC/Failure/Puscifer/Danny&Ju
It was great. It just felt....... special. three little pigs? cuntry boner with danny on drums? maynard doing vocals on failure's solaris for (probably) the first time ever? corina on lead vocals of apc's the package? 4 mer des noms tunes including libras (non-remix)? sober with no guitar but maynar...

Re: Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
Seems as though Sober was performed, though Adam wasn't there from what I've heard: https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/t1.0-9/1506400_10152528831292176_2175549897086609201_n.jpg Justin was there too? My guess was 3/4 right, maybe tomorrow. So who played Adam's part, Billy? no Ad...

Re: Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
So just got back to my hotel in LA a few hours ago. My older brother and I attended night 1 of Cinquanta (Maynard's 50th bday bash) at the Greek Theatre in LA. This concert was the final event in an 9 day roadtrip my bro and I did througout the SouthWest US. We just got lucky that a roadtrip we were...

Re: Cinquanta Night 1 Review - APC/Failure/Puscifer/Danny&Ju
Zac Rae, from the band "Early Winters" played a distorted keyboard part during "Sober". There was no actual guitarist for that performance. interesting. I saw someone playing keyboard and I thought it was Justin, so Justin was not there. Is that correct Junior? to be honest, I d...

Cinquanta Night 1 Review - APC/Failure/Puscifer/Danny&Justin
Sorry guys wasn't sure where to post this since it related to...Puscifer, APC, Failure AND Tool. So just got back to my hotel in LA a few hours ago. Re: Only One Tool Song
Hard to choose. Probably the slow version of Pushit. I got it once in a 2001 show but was too young/high to appreciate it. I've never gotten Eulogy though, so maybe that one rather. Third Eye used to be an easy answer to this but seeing plenty of clips of it played recently has made me desire it a b...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Well, the point wasn't about social media. I'm all over social media too, my objection to that pic, which I voiced in the Instagram comments and got equal parts support and shit for speaking up, was that I think a lot of fans alresdy think Tool is Maynard's cash cow yet in terms of his passions it's...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I'm not sure whether to be proud or horrified but I'm pretty sure I was the person who started the ball on criticizing MJK for posting the pic of him watching the UFC fight on his laptop before the Tool show. He deleted the pic (and all the MJK criticizing comments) yesterday and replaced it with a ...
