I so hope the lead track is new and not Descending or Invincible. Yes, that means we'll probably hear like 30+ minutes of new music before the album is released but I am pretty excited right now... and I want to know about this 18 minute track.

Everyone thought 10,000 days was a pretty bland title back in 2006... no one had any context either so that didn't help. The initial reaction back then was fairly negative but maybe that's just the nature of the internet and trolling. Context matters. I actually prefer titles using real words. Sorry...

Without over analyzing it, especially since we haven't heard the full album to appreciate its context, I think FEAR INOCULUM is a solid title for an album but I'm sure they would have considered just INOCULUM as a title here. Agreed. Descending does sound 'complete' as it stands right now. I actually hope there isn't some 6 minute segue/intro to it. I never listen to the full Wings/10,000 days piece by listening to Wings For Marie unless I'm playing the whole album all the way through...

I would stop freaking out about this Lateralus thing not appearing on Instagram yet or just the timeline in general. Is it possible this new album is just self-titled or doesn't have a name? Could they just release a disc with the new TOOL font on it and go with that? We haven't been given an album name or track list yet. Just wondering.

It's some new font. Looks nice but I'm interested in the final product here, as in the full album artwork.

There's also all the other new music that's a kind of a big deal for me... artwork or no artwork.

August 30th is only 6 weeks from now. 13 years and a whole bunch of Youtube clips makes these 6 weeks easier to process... I'm going to predict that there'll be 10 tracks and 78:20 in total. Maybe 6 or 7 pieces of music and 3 or 4 segues but each of those main pieces will be long... like 12 minutes ...

^I would recommend seeing them live again if possible. They've disappointed me at a few live shows over the years but their recent run, particularly Maynard, was incredibly impressive. Being in the audience felt fresh and special again, for lack of better terms. I do see your point though about quit...
