Re: Has Tool made too many albums?
talking about headphones, i love listening fear inocolum on sennheiser hd25 wich considered a standard dj headphone not an audiophile stuff, but it has some mild mid and low boost that fits this album so perfectly, treats the bass and lead guitar pretty good now i bought a rupert neve RNHP and a bey...

Re: Has Tool made too many albums?
Lateralus is the best CD by far i have ever listened to, its HDCD if i remember correctly idk, but that shit is seriously on the same level as a vinyl recording (i know numbers would defy my statement, bit rate depth yada yada, but subjectively, it feels and sounds amazing, much better then any rips...

Re: Has Tool made too many albums?
u know what would be really great, if they would re-record undertow and aenima with Justin and Joe Barresi (i know the former suggestion maybe would be disrespectful to Paul, but only Aenima then), like when Meshuggah re-recorded Nothing (with different instruments tho) not a remaster but a re-recor...

Re: Recusant Ad Infinitum
I just got the book edition of the album, some parts i like, some parts are a bit... underwhelming, overall it has some cool stuff that adds to the experience, and its nice to have, so i dont regret is anyway, i extracted the remastered, album quality audio from the video, and use it as a segue in t...

https://i.redd.it/wcac2teoe0n31.png it was the first track i started my new album listening ritual, since i knew fear inoculum and i was so hungry for new music, loved the intro felt like i'm in Los Angeles watching the ocean, and the moment i first heard.... that... after sun becoming it was the ab...

Re: Culling Voices
Culling voices is the song that brings the feeling of the once invincible warrior, who took the test against fear and found his pneuma, takes the descending path in the abyss. Thus in deepest dungeon it are the Culling Voices that try to stop him. And in 7empest the final battle against the deceive...

Re: Invincible
yeah i recall you saying it could be one the best bass driven tool track on the album, and on the live setting it certainly feels it has more space to breath and a bit more articulated (or louder, idk)...also adams guitar work has a less is more effect on me with the bit more stripped down approach,...

Re: Invincible
Yeah anyone that's nor enjoying the song based on your love and knowledge of the live version , kinda sucks to be you eh. The only reason most here feel that way is because they listened to an illegally and unofficial recording of the song. im not sure i can follow you, but i have a feeling you mis...

Re: Descending
its a great fucking song, but as its bootleg brother Invincible, this track seems to work for me more as the live version, but only the first half the first half in the album is strange, vocals are strange, and i think they dont have that impact as in the live version, because the latter has substan...

Re: Invincible
it's interesting but for me this track works MUCH better in its live form (Berlin Mercedes Arena ripped from youtube) seems like its in the right tempo, with the right sound, and there are nuances (especially on Adams part with the guitar picking, release, and guitar picking, stuff like that) that s...
