Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

wow! well Danny and Justin appreciated it right ? i know the Grammys are kind of whatever but to go on twitter and say that after you win something is a jerky move. the dude just doesnt impress me much anymore. didnt help seeing him flipping fan(s) off at the show i saw in Nov either. thats the 2nd ...

Re: Tool Oz + NZ Feb 2020 Tour discussion

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

CC Trip is actually kinda underwhelming, especially after a 12 minute intermission. I'd love it the band just replaced it with a shorter song somehow. I love Danny Carey as a drummer but he's doing his own thing for like 10 minutes and it just feels flat... the show loses momentum :| ya, i agree. D...

Re: The Grudge (WARNING: 26 years to #6?)

They should really settle down with the set list changes, us Tool fans want a stock standard set list each night, no one likes surprises! well then u better not go to any of your Australian shows cause they just rehearsed Tempest yesterday at the Vegas show but didnt play it at the show. im thinkin...

Re: Video game news

Normally this isnt the place i'd go cause im not a gamer but i picked up one of those Atari Flashbacks ive had my eye on for awhile. i saw a great deal on one so now was the time. its version 9 which has the SD card slot. a real easy update to make that work and u can add all the Roms you want and h...

Re: Fear Inoculum

Anyone with a 5.1 sound system should try playing the album in Pro Logic. "CC Trip" moves around your room in 360°, it sounds just like it was mixed in 5.1 :) i dont have 5.1 and i use to think (still sorta do) its kind of gimmicky but electronic music seems to make sense for something like this. c...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Man jerk off is an absolute beast of a song that I adore. I bought salival on said holiday and saw them live the month before, so part of me was getting a special lashing. But yeah, I'd have to say jerk off is the better song, just part of me has a more significant memory. part of me sounds great o...

the old link for that podcast is goners but i had the file saved. if anyones interested in hearing it here it is. its an interview with Howard Ungerleider. He use to be Rushs lighting guy. Junior mentioned him. i can see the influence in the R40 video. pretty cool! https://www.dropbox.com/s/562xe0qk...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Helix was a wicked concert. I sold a lot of dope at that concert. They had good lyrics. Give me an r-o-c-k! And the crowd yells "rock" really loud. Now that's a fucking concert. Rush just don't do stuff like that. Their lyrics are about how trees are talking to each other, How different sides of th...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

So does Adam just rip Rush off and we didnt know ? haha ;) Many people have over the years. I'm guilty of it. Their Lighting Designer (Howard Ungerleider) is one of my biggest influences. He was with them for about 44 years. i heard a podcast with that guy a couple of years ago. is he the same one ...

M was ok at the 2nd toronto show. he could of been louder but thats common so if you get a better show that way,its a bit rare. in 2012 he was the loudest i had heard him with tool in a long time. still one of the best shows ive seen of them, other then the 90s and early 2000s but im not really coun...

cool! so it wasnt just the intro to Jambi and playing 2112 after the show. That instagram video kind of sounds like YYZ lol,but its awesome he did it. Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

no need to be sorry! the intro kinda sounds like Cold & Ugly when he plays it so im assuming thats why he did it years ago cause he likes Rush and it works. Jambi seems it kinda fits too. So does Adam just rip Rush off and we didnt know ? haha ;) Ya, Jambi was one of the highlights at the 2nd Toront...

Adam use to play ''a passage to bangkok'' as a little intro to Cold & Ugly going back as far as 94 and did that up till 2002 when they still played Cold & Ugly regularly. did they have any pics of neil on the screens before the show? doing the intro and playing Rush after the show is cool enough of ...
