Re: Tool Spring 2017 Tour
^^ cheers for the Boston Calling show times HB Anyone got any tips for seeing Tool in festival setting? Is it worthwhile getting there early and waiting in a prime front row position or better to just chill out sit back and watch from afar? Edit: Also, setlist wise, as long as I get parabol/a and th...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
(considering they couldn't even release D/R/T the way they wanted) What exactly do you mean? Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk If I remember correctly D/R/T was always meant to be one long epic track but for logistical/Record reasons they had to split it up into thirds. I might be talking bullshi...

Re: Tool Summer 2017 Tour
Really hoping that they keep the Grudge and Parabol/a in the setlist and don't revert to their Jambi/stinkfist/schism/46&2/Intermission/Vicarious/Aenema/Lateralus combo. Especially after spending £500 on flights from the UK! Seeing them add in Third Eye, the Patient & Intolerance when I last...

Re: Tool USA Tour 2016
Tell me about it. Haven't been this side of the Atlantic in nearly 10 years now. When I go to see a Tool show it racks up about £1,500 in costs, ~4-5 days off work and 30 odd hours of travel time :( I was able to see a show in 2010, so it hasn't been too long, but whenever I start feeling left out ...

Re: Tool USA Tour 2016
Or maybe the band just despises their L.A. fans even more than the rest, although they haven't been to England or Europe in a long time too. :) Tell me about it. Re: Tool USA Tour 2016
Any unofficial confirmation on whether or not more shows will be added? Im holding fire on buying tickets in the hopes there will be a New York/Toronoto show (much easier to get to from the UK...)

Re: Tool USA Tour 2016
If I can get time off work I will try and fly out to these shows from the UK. Cannot pass on hearing the Grudge live. Also parabol/a... If the Halloween show is anything to go by... Might be worth the journey and £££

Re: Tool @ Monster Mash Music Fest, 10/31/15
I don't see how anyone can say Maynard is the least important. Especially, when the vocals for this descending track really make it interesting. I actually preferred the instrumental without his chanting vocals. For me they didn't add anything to the emotion of the music, they just distracted from ...

That website is suggesting they played a new jam/song called 'Descending'??? Is this some crappy fan-made title or did they actually announce it?

Re: Ask Blair stuff!
What do Tool have against touring in the UK/Europe? We have been waiting here patiently since '07. It almost seems like we are being deliberately avoided with every passing year and tour... I would have thought at least being English, Justin would have dragged the guys over here by now. Hell, maybe ...

"But one thing was a really scary do-or-die, serious illness and that was really scary" Potentially cancer that was picked up and treated. Adam has said before that whoever it was seemed to be given the all clear and they have gotten over it thankfully. No point digging, im just glad all s...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
The very next month Blair said that was false. Everything on that T or F list was answered. I know. It doesn't mean it couldn't be another song by dust though. Or any band for that matter. My point is, very shortly after the 'curveball' was announced, he brought up the subject of covers with this s...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
My only argument against Salival 2 as such, is that it's not much of a curveball. Blind Freddy could see it coming. That's what makes me think it's really not a Salival 2 at all. Yep. Salival II would not be a curveball by any stretch of the imagination. I'm going with a covers album July 2013 news...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I don't get why AJ is so hesitant to answer the question 'what are you guys doing here Adam?' 'We're uhhhhhhh umm working on some tunes...... Having some fun' This could mean anything. Re-recording old tunes with new parts? Like the recent live opiate etc. New salival type release? Did that curvebal...

It's catch 22 for Blair. He can either post a Newsletter about something non-Tool related, some kind of Crowley or extraterrestrial type story - and everyone complains. Alternatively he can post about what Tool might be doing, within the scope of their laziness and general reluctance to officially ...

Re: How will Tool approach the design of the new album?
well the question was pretty much what stops the writing... Adam said that life gets in the way and they have a few medical emercengies, one of which was very serious but is now ok and everyone is ok... then a few minutes later he states Alex Grey wrecked his car, not saying they are the same event...
