Re: The Grudge (contains SPOILERS)

I go to quite a few shows at Red Rocks each summer. I've seen quite a few "older" bands, with some artists well into their 70s. Not one of these bands plays for only 90 minutes. Actually, most of these bands I'm talking about play 2 90 minute sets. Using Tool's age as an excuse for these ...

Re: The Grudge (contains SPOILERS)

Seeing their cirque du soleil style intermission during the Lateralus days was pretty cool. Then again, their sets were 2 hours and 40 minutes long back then. Having a 12 minute intermission 6 songs into a 90 minute set is LAME AS FUCK.

Re: The Grudge (contains SPOILERS)

And think on this for a second. If their show is "evolving"...doesn't that completely fuck over the fans that attended the shit shows? Say they break out a new tune in San Fran. What about those poor folks in Spokane who got stuck with that shit setlist? Same shit they have been doing for...

Re: The Grudge (contains SPOILERS)

Evolve is the key word. Hard to evolve when there's only been one show. Let's wait and see what the rest of the tour delivers before getting worked up over that one. I'll be surprised if we do see much "evolution" though. I understand that there has only been one show, but Blair's post ma...

To be honest it's a total coincidence.. It an old name I used to use and it spawned from an old BMW M3 I had. Not Zimmer. But I'm used to people thinking that so I responded. Why are you so interested rp?
I'm just going to call you Hans.

Re: The Grudge

Don't Tool usually do a few interviews just before their on-going 10,000 days tour? Maybe they are ducking out of new album questions. I would grill the fuck out of Adam at these Q&As.

Re: Questions for Adam

I'm chill....I live in the mountains of Colorado. I just don't get your argument at all. I would bet my mountain of doobs that a good portion of the Tool community would pay a shit ton of money to see them play Lateralus front to back. Also, your post reminds me of some preachy mother telling her ch...

It's still just one album. We Tool fans like variety. Throw in 46+2, Schism, and Stinkfist and we have ourselves a rodeo!

Re: Questions for Adam

Variety? Give me a fucking break. They've been playing the same set, plus or minus one or two songs since 2006. At this point there would be more variety in them playing their opus front to back. Most of us on here can already "anticipate" 9 out of the 10 songs that will be played this tour.

Re: Questions for Adam

Would you guys ever consider playing an album in it's entirety for a show (like Steely Dan, APC, etc)? Great question, and I would love to hear the answer to this one. I think Adam alluded to a set list question in Australia that the reason they don't play certain songs is because of Maynard. Mayna...
