Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Apparently Billy had spent a long time going back and forth over the songs adding layers of guitars and Maynard told him to strip it right back so he could 'hear' the song and see where to go with it. Billy said it was hard to do that to his work but is happy with the result. i think BIlly should o...

Re: Tool - is this their last album?
I’d say 50/50 it’s their last full length album. I wouldn’t doubt some sort of DVD/VR and/or possibly singles down the track. If they do record another album, It would come as a pleasant surprise. Besides, 60 is the new 50 and they have young kids which tends to keep us feeling young. They’re not u...

Re: Tool - is this their last album?
Why does it mean so much what the albums called? Am I the only one on here that doesn't really see it as that important? All I cared about was a release date and confirmation it's happening which we got. I guess I'm curious how many songs are gonna be on there but album title ... meh i think people...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
i think the lyrics are a little overly dramatic (maynard, diva). its not like they've been gone for 13 years. i can give that credit though, it could be the last album with new material taking that long. its not like there using walkers or something. ok, M did have a hip replacement, dude has weak ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I think Descending is a nice vague reference to something winding down or getting worse. At least that's my interpretation thus far. And if Invincible is the album title I am quitting as a fan of the band. :) i think the lyrics are a little overly dramatic (maynard, diva). its not like they've been...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I'm firmly in the Donatello camp, people who like Leonardo are control freaks, Raphael fans are usually short tempered fuckwits and anyone who like Michelangelo, well they are as dimwitted as he is. Cowabunga dude. Slight correction. my memory was a bit off. Paul D'amour is on 4 demos from Aenima. ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
So I guess we've all come around to agreement that Danny is in fact the least important factor in Tools sound and could easily be replaced by say Mike Portnoy or David Silveria. drummers are the backbone of the band as the say. so why not i guess ;) Justins been with them for so long i couldnt see ...

Holy shit, you can actually hear Justin, especially on Invincible. It's like hearing it for the first time. Which city is that? I really hope the bass lines come through that well on the record. i do believe thats the Birmmingham show from early May. thats the one that got tinkered with the most.

this is one of the better semi recent ones i could find, mostly for the sound, the stage show is noticeably better and looks good here. (Poland has a good version of Descending but the audio is better on this one from Rock Im from June 9th) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31w_VDHKbyY a little newer fo...

My camps well and truly set up on the other side of the creek. They got substantially worse with each movie for me at the time i didnt care about it too much. the ideas were ok but nothing that amazing to me. i had just read Bob Frissells ''nothing in this book is true...'' so i was already on a mi...

ah damn, i actually wasted time looking up some of these phrases. '''double double - animal style'' is a type of burger from the In & Out burger joints you guys in the US have. Bootleggers could be a restaurant. i see names of pubs and resturaunts with that phrase in it. whatever, its still b.s ...
