Right on, I've just seen comments about that video somewhere, either here or on Reddit, where people kinda laughed it off like Danny was BSing the guy to make him go away and wasn't being serious about a movie.

I'm not speculating what, if anything, will be revealed in the next newsletter, BUT, regarding that recent video of Danny being talked to by the paparazzi guy, I don't think he was kidding at all when he said they were looking into making a feature-length film....there's been mentions of it for year...

At this point, I'm just enjoying the ride....a new Tool album is something that's constantly hovering in the back of my mind as a source of anticipation and excitement, and I know that when it finally does come out, it'll be my most listened-to thing for probably the next decade or more- I still lis...

I dunno, the only reason we knew about the re-recording of Opiate was because of Motorhead haha....Disturbed also recorded their newest album in complete secrecy, and only announced it about 2 months before the release date. I think it was the infamous article last fall where Maynard made nasty comm...

He actually removed that "sonogram" pic from his Instagram acct.....the plot thickens!

I really dig the new Opiate breakdown and am surprised that it's just that. It would fit more into an evolved Tool sound that is taking 10 + years to come to fruition. The Descending jam, whether or not it is just a gutted/looped version of a really long song, doesn't give me the same warm and fuzz...

I remember reading that Adam said that....but I also remember Blair posting a pic on Toolband a few years ago of one of their "whiteboard" arrangements, and the heading on the board was "PROB 8 RH", and Blair said something like "I was surprised to see that song title again ...

I saw them the other night, sound was great.....they played sort of amped-up versions of Breathe and Flippant, which I thought were the standout songs of the night.

There was an interview he did a few years ago where he said he re-designated most of the new Ashes Divide album as the (potential) new APC album...but I think he still said there would be a new Ashes record out by the end of 2014 or something, which never happened. I've wondered about the lineup too...

I remember reading something a year or so ago that Tool and Weird Al were the only remaining artists signed to their label, and the rest of what the label dealt with was re-issues of older albums from the 80s and 90s by various artists...just out of pure chance, Weird Al came to town several months ...

With the pics and videos of them with Joe Barresi earlier this year, and that pic of Danny with Bob Ludwig, I'm guessing there might be a CD companion with it, as well as some other bits and pieces of new music...hopefully...

Nice work! Did they give any specifics about the Opiate video? (like if that new middle section will be included or if they re-recorded the entire song, what the video is like, etc)

Ask if they think the recording process will be quicker this time around when they eventually do hit the studio...I know for 10k Days and Lateralus they spent the better part of 7/8 months recording/mixing/mastering
