So yea...that New Volto! song is great lol. Seriously though, not much is going on and that's not Blair's fault. I get the impression he has to write something, so he just does.

<t>Once again toolphish: you're dead on. Post-2002 Tool was just never the same. They played great and still play great, the band itself maybe even got better. I like all the segues/little jams and experimentation they started incorporating into the shows, but they never had the same intent or spiri...

Totally agree toolphishdhs. 98 - 01 was definitely the bands peak. I love the 98 shows, because the band was unbelievably tight, intense and jammy...and it was just an exciting time, they were on the cusp of Lateralus.

<t>Thanks for posting the show, cool to hear. This isn't even close to being the best show I've heard sound-wise or performance-wise though. I think you guys are biased since you attended it. The are a bunch of shows that sound better and have better performances, just off the top of my head...the J...

I don't think he really had any throat issue, or if so it was minor w/him just singing fine the very next day. They used it as an excuse to see if they could get some more tickets sold to the show, since sales had been light.

Wait a second guys...wait a second here. Is there a way for me to just give like $800 to Tool for no reason? As a fan I really feel that they deserve it a lot more than some charity or something...

I'm just kidding. Mog you're a stand up dude, this is awesome.

<t>Aloke is an amazing musician and seems like a great guy. I went to a group lesson of his once in Portland, OR while on a trip there and it was pretty cool. Having said that...it's hard enough to understand him in person at times, I can see a Skype lesson being kind of difficult. Is a cool and gen...

I saw Fugazi live 4 times, they were always incredible and they remain (along with Tool) as one of my favorite bands of all time.

Also, I wouldn't just totally write off Red Hare as "punk" though. These guys' former bands cover a wide range of genres/sub-genres.

<t>The drums on 10,000 Days DO sound good. You just can't hear them very well sometimes, or in great detail. It takes away from the impact of a lot of what Danny does. <t>Looking more like 2014 for the new album, as predicted. I really hope they go with David Bottrill again as well. He really captures what they truly sound like live. While Baressi was good...on 10,000 Days he made Tool sound more typical. And the main driving force of the band, (Danny's drums), we...

Oh possibly the Cam De Leon thing, but I thought that was already known.

He did define their image pretty heavily with his Aenima and Salival artwork, but then they took it in a totally different direction by Lateralus anyway. He just wanted some quick cash I guess.

We have listened to the music Baseball_TOOL, I think that's part of the problem. A lot of people here are die-hard fans of the band, and while the music is "pretty good shit" we've all heard it to death. People want new material from this band, they don't have enough.
