I can only conclude that the fact there is no new album as a good thing, they aren't lazy, they are just perfectionists and there really is only so many hours in a day.

Look at how many shit albums bands at Tool's tier and less release just to hit a touring cycle.

I stayed with my best friend from childhood.
Well, he and his old lady both had to work all day which left me alone;
and I had no 'transpo,' to go anywhere,
let alone money so all I could do for an entire week
was get hammered on whiskey and play the only video game they had:

I had a similar experience except it was three days, not a week. ...And instead of drinking it was masturbating. I was only 20 so it was like 5 or 6 times a day, in his girlfriend's panty drawer. I called him a week later and told him what I did. He was pissed. He brought it up once in front of a group of our friends in an effort to embarrass me but I thought it was so funny to hear him tell the story that my laughter made him the one who was embarrassed. Its still funny to me. I'm pretty cool.

I know, I would have kept it to myself instead of telling a group of people.
