Yep, they will either hit the studio right after Puscifer wind up (which I suspect is unlikely) or hit the studio following the 2016 wine harvest (which should wind up Octoberish).

We've been speculating this for about 5 years now, is that right?

Those memes ar proving to be prophetic- and even those are starting to get old, literally! Not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Well, take my prediction with a grain of salt obviously, and just an outline of the two most likely scenarios happening next year (apart from the obvious "Tool don't do shit" scenario)

dude I feel you. I came on here because I was lurking for a month or so and I thought for the final countdown I'd emerge from the shadows. three thousand three hundred and ninety posts later and it's being conveyed to me that I will have to wait another 18-24 months. I'm past laughing and crying. I will steal a quote from one of my favorite bands:

"where once was warmth now in a icy void sits my tormented heart that you've destroyed. I withdraw from laughing, I withdraw from feeling, I withdraw from your tender touch, I withdraw from the pain of this flesh and I resign myself to earth and stone"

fuck you Tool.

Not true. Would you rather have $24 or $36?

listened to Salival a lot this past weekend. Makes me wonder why they havent released a part 2. Its pretty basic. Wouldn't require much, if any, new recording. Its mostly a job for a producer to splice songs and pieces together and release a few live tracks. Release a live version of a few songs throughout the years, maybe a cover they have done (Spasm?) .. and an old studio version/CD quality song like Cold and Ugly. Seems like it would tide over the hardcore diehard fans a bit; and with minimal effort.

Not gonna happen. And if it did, Jones would spend two years mulling over which of his favourite comic book artists he'll ask to do the artwork.

I've seen glaciers accomplish more in a year than that guy.

Literally.

I have been listening to 'Jimmy' a lot the last few days... I think "under a dead Ohio sky" is an amazing lyric....

Isn't it a bit redundant? He could just say 'under an Ohio sky'... Gets the same point across

It's dumb. How can the sky be dead? It makes no sense. Jimmy must have been smoking the same shit my little girl likes when he wrote that.

The rolling effect from the other 3 is still the best part anyway.

The sky in Gary Indiana is more dead that any sky in Ohio.

It smells horrid as well.
