In a minor update of sorts, I spoke with Blair via email recently and he is looking into the Golden Ticket situation. He didn't hint at what the prize could be, but certainly suggested that there was something more to it. If nothing else, he is certainly now aware that at least on golden ticket holder hasn't received anything (aside from their limited Opiate package).

We are all curious about what these tickets are about, hopefully it could be something that could be shared to all the tool fan community... amen.

I do believe the "Curve ball" is in relation to these Golden Tickets.

Cruve Ball: "We forget to append the Golden Tickets. We will try again on the Undertow re-release"

Prize TBD. Why would TOOL fans expect anything more? All companies should use this "we fucking hate you" type marketing. It works wonders for TOOL.

No, it doesn't. Because of their bullshit, I'm almost completely over them.

Really?

I see it as a running gag, makes me happy to be a tool fan.

Like I said before, I'd have mad respect if they had no intentions of releasing a new album and are just leading us on by the nose.

I really don't see why the tickets thing would bother anyone but the people who got them. Even then it's kind of a stretch, it's a bonus they're getting that 4,995 other people who bought this are not.

Seems like the best prize to a fan and the easiest prize for the band to give out would be to fly in the 5 winners to hear them jam the new album. At least that would be the best possible prize to me.

That would be killer. Or maybe Tool plays your Barbecue party? You pick the setlist.

At this point, whatever the prize(s) turn out to be, chance are it will be a letdown.

All a lie maybe?

You know...a ruse?

A tactic, perhaps?
Scheme?
A possible gambit even?

What about a stratagem/"stra-gedy?"

GOT IT!

It's a "May-neuver!"

well if that is the case cheese , you would think there would be some kinda lawsuit for false advertising from an American golden ticket winner.

I only base this off the fact that there is so many 'lawyer' advertisements on American television.

I don't advocate watching television so
I can't comment on whether or not that may or may not be plausible.

No updates I'm aware of. Both the band and Blair seem to be playing it close to their chest, and the one "known" recipient doesn't seem to want to discuss it.

Was there only one ticket? I can't remember.

I would've thought this would've been explained by now.

Then again . . . . . . . . .
