Oh god that made me emotional. Takes me back to the flaming eye promo video on MTV during the lateralus days. The first time I saw them was 18 years ago, a month after September 11th. My mum was alive. i was still in Florida. Had no kids. Going to see them this Saturday for the second time with my wife and couldn’t be more excited. So happy those fans got to see that without any idea. Also, those sounds are amazing I hope they are on the album!!!

They updated their Facebook page with the announcement. Blair is about as useful as a third ball sack unless you have a decoder ring.

To be fair Blair has been MIA for a long time. He kind of deserves to be able to sit this one out. He has spent years filling those newsletters up with goofy shit when Tool had nothing to report. Besides Tool is all social media these days. Wouldn't surprise me if next month we did actually get something official with the album title.

What I am wondering about is when is the album going to be available for pre-order? With a release date out you gotta figure it is going to go up for sale sooner than later particularly since they are going digital this time.

They had Rockville poster here at Louisville. Almost bought one by mistake!

Event posters are $45. The Rockville was $30. They apparently had signed ones but guess those were sold out.

The audio quality on these is pretty dang good! In Descending, the part starting at 9:30 sounds like complete cacophony to me.
