I always got the impression Tool play their cards reasonably close to their chest, so a promoter having wind of this info seems a little unlikely to me.

Still, I'd like to think they were that far into the writing process.

Blair sent me an email indicating that the term "Change Up" is more significant to the bands future plans than "Curve Ball". He seemed to suggest that the use of the word "Curve Ball" in the recent newsletter was a misnomer (BMB has used both terms in recent newsletters). Given some suggestion Lustmord has made regarding an interesting project on the horizon, I wonder if the "change up" has something to do with a Tool-Lustmord project. That is, Tool's music, at a much slower pace ie "change up". Thinking outside the box here a little, but I would love to hear a 60-90 minute quasi album where Lustmord and Tool were both involved. I'd say Lustmord could make an album length version of Lateralus or Third Eye.

TOOL has a tough enough time coming out with one album featuring only themselves, Imagine how long it would take for them to do a collaborative album...maybe 15 years?

I'm not one to lose patience very often, or get upset about anything involving the TOOL camp, but I am so sick of BMB (and although it may be managements fault not his own when it comes to reporting things) half-ass reporting or hinting at things like 'Big Things' or 'Change ups' or 'Website updates' only to be led on for years at a time with no actual mention of said things ever again. It's as if I were to run my own website and keep saying things like "Things are happening..Stay Tuned'', then 2 years later say, "Soon the aforementioned 'thing' is happening! Stay tuned!' only for another 9 months to pass and then give up an update on a side project, some wine, some random albums being released that has nothing to do with me, etc rather than the 'things' I was talking about.

It's an act that as a faithful and optimistic fan is even growing tired of!

Don't shoot the messenger. No point blaming Blair for promising news that the band hasn't delivered on.

I understand, but sometimes when these things go on for YEARS, I don't care who is to blame, the entire operation is an embarrassing sham. As stated before, I am not one to quickly jump the gun and blame Blair. As you said he is merely a messenger. To completely ignore these things from a business standpoint seems like a poor model to me. To not acknowledge things that were made out to be pretty BIG is inherently taking your fan base to be morons.

However, maybe he can be a better filter, or atleast say, 'hey remember AROUND November of 2011(wish I was kidding) when I reported that there was a BIG THING happening SOON...yeah its been delayed now for almost 3 years. Sorry about that! I will update about this matter when more information becomes available."

Would it really be that big of a deal to say something like that?

No problems blaming the band (and I agree with many of your points), but Blair shouldn't be unfairly targeted in my opinion. I don't think he owes anyone any apologies.

That's the problem, he can't keep tabs with the amount of bile and shit he spews with each of his posts. He's already neck deep, lost in his own shit.

The only nominated drummer that I listened to was Brad Wilk and that Black Sabbath album was nothing special.

All the nominations were crap, but that's nothing unusual for the Golden Gods.

Wow, that was awkward. That little girl at the end of the video was really happy to have that trophy though.

LOLOL! Post of the month from Nate Dog!

Danny and Justin always get on so well together. Nice to see them up there having a good time. Makes even this grumpy old ex Tool fan a tad Nostalgic.
