Don't they EVER get together and go:"OK, Blair, here's the gyst of things......".????
What do you expect Blair to say exactly? Trying to describe the songwriting sessions in more detail is most likely an exercise in futility. Tool need to get it done and let the results speak for themselves. Stop over analysing things Califum.

You guys do realize they won't be hitting the studio anytime in the next six months, right?!?! I hope yr not getting too excited.
I doubt anyone is too excited given their track record, but it's not such a stretch to see them hitting studio within 6 months.
you know what Cal means bro, c'mon. he's not talking dry erase boards complexity, he just means "hey Blair, FYI we're about 4 songs done and ready to move onto the next round" that's certainly not much to ask at this point in time. honestly.
Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral. I want that ship, not excuses.
I don't think it's too much to ask either, but really, until they say "we're hitting the studio" the rest is just hot air. Who gives a fuck how many songs they may or may not have written.

Haha..I love your TA towels. I love even more the TA towels outsider sent me as a joke from when he emailed merch wanting to know how to buy the towels you posted. That was the best. Five years later and I still miss the good old days of TA.

"it took them 10 years to make this mediocre album???..."
Honestly, I doubt they care.
And that's going to happen no matter what. Those of us who enjoy it will have another album to hear and those of us who don't will not. I'd rather be the former, but we shall see.

Shocking that it's been so long. And shameful how they think it's perfectly fine to keep leaching funds from unsuspecting fans the entire time. At least I feel like I got my money's worth before TA went to shit. And glad Fourtheye filled the void.

@ RP - I agree. It ceased to be worthy of giving any fucks long ago. It will come out when it comes out and either I dig it or I don't. Doesn't mean I won't be excited to snag it when the time comes, but why waste energy on what ifs?
It's very clear Blair isn't kept in the loop regarding the bands news given we've seen in the past the Tool site is one of the last to confirm things like tour dates and etc. He's mentioned in the past that the band never wanted the site to be solely about them and let's be honest, it barely is.
Even once they're in the studio if you're expecting anything more than "the band hit the studio today" and then nothing for months before finally getting a confirmation of a release date you're going to be very disappointed.
They aren't the type to have a daily diary of "tracking this" or "tracking that".
It wasn't. I remember a note here and there, picture here and there, then all of a sudden a release date followed by the actual track list (which the majority assumed was fake)
