I highly doubt they're going to use a producer for this album considering they didn't have one for 10K Days, and if they were going to have Joe engineer their new album I imagine that wouldn't be worked out until they were actually ready to go into the studio which, as has been made pretty clear, is not going to be for quite a while still.

It's old. From something to do with the Legend of the Seagullmen side project. Which, look it up and to each their own but... I found extremely underwhelming given the talent involved. Not to sound like a snobby asshole or anything, it's obviously a project meant to be fun for all involved.

when Maynard retires I think Tool's remaining members should do an album with different lead singers, obviously call it something else other than "Tool". but I'd love to hear Buzz, Geddy, Aaron Turner, Jerry Cantrell, Troy Sanders, Chino Moreno, Zach De La'Rocha and Chris Cornell sing over Tool soaked music.

Or just occasionally release great instrumental jams. Maybe as seniors they'll reign in their stubbornness on releasing nothing until it's 'done'

Tool without Maynard is just the Melvins on crack. Albums out every month. Everybody is pissed and complaining about the "cash grab" albums. "Take your time assholes! Make something worthwhile," they say. Meanwhile Maynard is puttering around in his Vineyard sipping on some water and eating some gummi worms he's keeping in a fanny pack.
