I'm curious when the first mention of the curve-ball was. Any of the tool historians have any idea? Also when was the last time it was mentioned? Did it already happen? Was it the Opiate anniversary thing?

Well I must admit I'm a bit disappointed some of you so called die hard tool veterans haven't got it all figured out. It can't be that difficult, some of you just aren't trying hard enough. Hellboy haven't you got any word of anything? Bout time you pulled in some favours from your source or that bloke pretending to be junior or something.

I am not sure Toob Doob has it figured out yet either.

In 2008, Metallica did a slow, drip feed tease or release of info for their upcoming new album. Fans went crazy trying to decipher this limited clue:

"DC"

Then a few days it widened and became "D...C" then "D.......C" etc.

It all turned out to be "Death Magnetic" so good luck trying to unlock "RJAOCHIN" or whatever we've been given if there are letters still missing.

I honestly don't care what this album is called; even Chöd is acceptable. I'm definitely not going to go out of my way to dig out my 10,000 Days decoder ring to find some secret message in the new Tool logo. Nor am I going to enter in a bunch of possible letters into some online algorithm. I do think that there are some pretty sharp folks on here that might be getting somewhere with this ridiculousness though, and I'm enjoying watching.

Those letters BJWHATEV are probably just to mislead us from Chöd, or Chöd is misleading us to the other, or even likelier, neither of them are the album title and they are just fucking with us. I love it! Wouldn't have it any other way. Way more fun than them just announcing the name. Can't wait to see what the next decoy is!

I hope the album name will turn out to be : Decoy.

This was just posted on Reddit. Guy claims he saw the album. It’s the first simplistic “leak” unlike the others who claim they have seen the album. The track “Malthus” totally fits Tool. Idk. Most likely fake.
