Maybe "smoke on the horizon" is a song name. Maybe it's the sequel to "smoke on the water" by that band whose name escapes me and I'm too lazy to google.

I'm guessing there's an intro riff with 3 different variations, each of which is repeated 8 times building up to the main riff (which is really the 4th variation of the riff). The in moves into PC (I'm guessing pre-chorus?) followed by something called ADZ which is in 11/4 time.

I think it's the lyrics. They finally got Maynard in and are just about done writing.

The three vocal tracks will be interesting. I wonder what they'll do with that live.

That photographer friend of May Jay's has posted some pics of him and his kid with May Jay at Caduceus in the past couple days. So it seems May Jay isn't at the loft.

Unless it's a smoke screen of some sorts, I guess.

I'd be amazed if he still remembers the location of the Loft anyway....

I liked that video of him driving to Jerome. I'm pretty sure I drove through that area in GTA V.

GTA V takes place in Jerome?

It takes place in like California, but there's an area that looks just like that video.

It's still tail end of the vintage, so I suspect Maynard would be a few weeks off joining them. Fingers crossed things are coming together well enough to put the final touches on the writing process, and can hit the studio in the coming months.
