I'm with MJK. I'll believe it when I hear it. And even then it may be another Decoy Album.

I need more than a pic of the white board to get excited. Blair already took us down that road a few years ago. Love Nardo's response.

I think Maynard's response says it all.

He obviously thinks very highly of this supposed bullshit "lawsuit" excuse.

But seriously folks, that little white board of squiggles is the best indication of work in progress that we've seen in 8 years. It would have been cool to see a penis doodle somewhere on the board tho.

I have stared into the abyss and lived to tell about it.

Yeah . . . I don't know you well enough to know if you know that enough to be literally fond of the saying for reasons only you and that wisp of a girl enjoy, as you cuddle (seemingly endlessly) under the thin blanket you allow yourself - and thank, suddenly. Only because the breath and warmth of both of you would just be too much - a desperation the blanket could never happen.

*sigh* I've only a can left.

I'm going to use the left thumbstick of my XBOX360 gamepad as the sole reference point for all sexual thoughts.

I give me four minutes.

I sleep with a body pillow. I painted the pillow to look like Ryan Gosling. Sometimes I like to drink massive amounts of rum and dress him up pirates clothes.

Good times

There have been numerous photos of the loft in the past few years with tons of stuff visible on the dry-erase board. Doesn't mean anything

Yeah it means, at best, that they have a new song that they're really happy with whatever stage it's at.

Note: Not bitching. I appreciate these small, bite-sized looks into the process. Also makes me feel better about our own dry erase board and how incomprehensible it usually is.

Has anybody looked at the reflection?

I think I've subconsciously stopped listening to TOOL because they are that irrelevant.

Glad you're happy with things, though.

Can't really make out what it is...

Also, are those 8's on the board, or infinity symbols?

Time to break out the salvia, ouija board and boxed wine. I'll have this whole thing figured out in no time.

Agreed. I will be shocked if this album is out by next year.

@Hellboy - It might be just 2 words that Maynard used in his response, but I think he would have stayed quiet if he was in agreement that they are ready to record. I don't even care, really. If they are almost there, cool! If not, nothing new. Pearl Jam in 12 days is all I am thinking about.

Many bands leave samples of tracks on their site for the fans to salivate on.

This means shit.

Try harder, Adam.

Many bands? Only when they've recorded something and Tool clearly haven't...
