Is it possible in the year 2015 with all this social media baloney and folks runnin haywire left right and centre with camera phones wired up the kazoo to do ANYTHING these days in secret?!? But could Tool have secretly begun the recording process and pulled the wool over everybody's eyes. Well....David Bowie did it recently. Nobody had a clue he had recorded an album until it was announced. And he's a darn sight more "news worthy" than Tool.

And why would they take precious time out from working on the new album to rerecord Opiate?????

I wonder if those DAT tapes that were supposedly shipped off to "Joe" all them months ago were actually tapes for "Joe" to begin tracking the new album.

Unless somebody proves otherwise, I'm going to bed now thinking that Tool are in the studio recording their new album.

I was having a wank with the Opiate comment, Jay. I was trying to say that it is new material for the upcoming album. I expected them to be slightly more clandestine than they usually are this time around, especially after they took a pie to the face last tour with Adam's comment that the album was done.

But someone on the front page post made a great point. Adam got a lot of shit for his "album is done" comment during their last tour, so much so that even May Jay had to comment.

Imagine the shit he'd get if this was another bucket of nothing.

I am an optimist (mostly), and am taking that video on its face value. As mentioned previously Adam would be well aware of the what would ensue (hype etc) after he chose to post the video on his Facebook timeline. In any case it is welcome news and exciting knowing that soon (albeit possibly 6-12 months) we will get to listen to some new TOOL music... Awesome...
