The 5th member is actually on this forum. You didn't hear this from me, but the final seque on the album has a working title of "Mog Synthesizer". They actually invited him in to read a 10 minute dialogue of some of his classic rants in a mocking tone of himself. This will all be over some classic synthy teeky taaaky blippidy bloopidy synthesizer noises.

It's stern. They've more or less copied and pasted from an 0:00 ref. point, rendering the "standard" guitar parts obsolete. You'll know when it's available. From what I've heard it's almost autumn there and time. Not really what I would have gone with.

Damn, I look for news and get two mentions you fellas must either really miss me or you are really fucking bored. I imagine the later is the case.

Shame things have gone quiet with dem Tool fellas. After all this time waiting you would think they could find the time to throw out small updates on a semi regular basis. It is kind of sad when the guy they hire to do their monthly newsletter doesn't even have any idea what is going on when the band is supposedly recording. Maybe they took another break. Vacation time again?

I like Beato's break down. It's nice to hear the isolated tracks of each member of the band. It would be cool to hear them all the way through the entire song.

You can find them on youtube. They're taken from one of the Guitar Hero games I think.

It was a good video, but not as good as the Schism one. That Parabola is (in my opinion) one of the least interesting Tool songs probably doesn't help. There were certainly a couple of extra bass parts to that song I hadn't really picked up on before that were interesting to see.

Nah, I love The Patient. Swamp Song is my other least liked Tool song.

I enjoyed what they did with the song during the 2006 tour.

You sure those dates arent wrong and thats not Lateralus era tour?? I dont recall May Jay dressing like that post 10K days and he sure sounded different too when I heard them play it in 07

That's in Europe during 2006 (hence the date), if I'm not mistaken.

European leg of 10,000 Days tour. He wore the gas mask due to excessive amount of cigarette smoke inside the shows. I was at a few of these shows, and I can attest to the smoke. He said something about the smoke effecting his vocal chords and that if they like his singing then it would behoove them to not smoke. This was right around the time that he was putting back a lot of wine and his voice sounded like ass...

now we have greater problems then cigarettes and that is the fucking telephones with cameras
its a disaster and i dont know how should the live music culture deal with it
