EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE
Very true... one can experience a spiritual epiphany with aid from psychedelics or from meditation. I've never felt the 'we are all connected' thing like I did from one trip (out of probably 9 or 10, so it's not every time by any means). It was the atypical 'out of body' experience... but it can't really be understood with words. It's just a feeling... and it's one of assurance. Maybe Tool's music was a guiding force in the initial processes; maybe they provided a context or a preamble of sorts. By that rationale I guess Tool's music could take some credit, however minimal, for getting the ball rolling--thus 'changing your life'...
Speaking from my own experience, I wouldn't be near the outside the box, free-thinker that I am without those guys. I do give them some credit. For some people out there, they did obtain some type of enlightenment from the band. So there you are wrong MOG.
^ Tool didn't fuck your wife tho? Seeeeeee.....

wayyyyy to fuckin serious with this Tool shit. Without Danny they would be a half ass rock band with a pretentious lead singer whose voice is going to shit.

This is part of the reason that some fans don't just consider this another band--they fucking love Tool. They've opened a Pandora's box of ideas for me. It's great, really. The world isn't so bland and gray. And... no... there's nothing wrong with that.

Why do you think I never finished. It's only polite to let the lady go first.

Nothing wrong with loving good music. I love lots of good music. I promise there is an entire world's worth of great music out there beyond Tool. Great music doesn't begin and end with Tool.

Sister? Are you fucking 7? Are we on the playground now? I am obviously a guy. Is calling me a chick your best shot? Christ there isn't facepalm meme big enough on the internet that could properly express how absurd that attempt was.

As for the rest, that is the problem. You TTFers treat the members of Tool like heroes. Fuck some of you damn near worship them as Gods. They are just four lazy fucks that can't get a proper album together in a reasonable amount of time.

Actually.
I originally typed brother. But then realized you're 99% chance to shit on me for such a 'bold' statement. As per you're status-quo here.

Realizing the shit-incoming, I went with sister -
WHICH I view just the same as the 'other', BUT
Knew you'd twist your pussy-cock into a bind about.

Look, gender confusion is something I know occurs frequently 'round here

But don't step into a trap.

"I seent all them glorious lights a comin'!!",
said the dead christian. To no one. Because heshes dead.

If after all I've 'typed at you', all the options I thought presented, you choose to respond with a gender-injustice rant..
Then holy-balls what a waste of time.

Any takers? ..

You might be interesting if you clean up your grammar and use proper sentence structure. You get on that and we will get along just fine. Tool sucks. Good day.

Where were you standing/sitting? If you're too close to the stage the acoustics suck. I feel bad for the die-hard Tool fans that go to their first show and they want to be right up against the rail. That's literally the worst place in the house. 20 yards back, right in the middle.... that's when it rings your ears for a couple of days.
About 15 meters from the stage, I was basically under the mirrorball to the left.

Right in front of the sound stage is generally a good rule of thumb. In Cedar Rapids it was a pretty cozy, smaller arena; I was all the way in the upper deck with my back against the wall (my head was almost touching the edge of the ceiling)... so last row, centered. I'll never forget how awesome that sounded. Granted I was tripping on shrooms which is apparently frowned upon by some of you but the acoustics there couldn't have been better. The sound seemed to carry off of the rounded ceiling and sort of come from behind me at times. Very...very...very cool. Obviously being that far back isn't for everybody. If being closer is your thing, I personally don't recommend anything too close. I can never hear the vocals if I'm within 20 yards of the stage. Back a little ways? They are crystal clear.

Psychedelics (coupled with other things) are absolutely responsible for tangible, major and unquestionably positive changes in my life and being.

Carry on...

I've had good times on drugs. If they had had any Earth-shattering positive impact on my life, I wouldn't be the piece of shit I am today.

I used to 'hang' with the drug crowd, the majority were absolute scum bags and criminals.

Probably why we got on so well.

Yeah, fuck those policies that help people. I'd rather save a buck a week and fuck over the environment or live with third world internet instead!

Tell that to the victims of Labor's bungled Pink Batts installation scheme.

Third world internet my ass. I can watch anything I want instantaneously and I'm not even connected to the NBN (which will be even faster still).

Oh hey, I've got an idea!! Let's build the world's most expensive NBN for a population of only 23 million and use technology that will be outdated by the time it's finally completed!! Oh hey and while we're at it, let's make it completely government controlled and make it forbidden for any corporation to build a competitive network of their own! Way to go Kev!

And how are we "fucking the environment" more so than the last government? All the last govt ever did was to sneakily implement a fucking socialist tax scheme under the guise of an environmental stance. Does fuck all for the environment and will change the average global temperature by .006 degrees over the next 250 years.

The last I heard, people didn't suddenly stopped driving their cars or using their air conditioners nor did industry decrease their manufacturing output when the carbon tax came.

It's all spin. Sucked in buddy. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
