Started playing "THE WITCHER 2" and I just remembered how much I fucking hate games that make me follow a distinct path. "SKYRIM" and all of the "ELDER SCROLLS" games, I guess, not to mention the "GTA" series and "RED DEAD REDEMPTION", have really fucking ruined non-open world games for me.

How far into it are you? It does open up a bit after about an hour and a half to two hours. Coincidentally I started playing it again today.

Yeah, The Witcher is a line way from linear, especially once you get past the first hour or two.

That's good to hear. I haven't been in a rush to get back to it since I stopped yesterday, but if it "gets off the rails", so-to-speak, I'll happily return tonight.

It's no Skyrim, so don't get too excited, but it does give you the ability to get away from the main story somewhat.  It's strongest suit is that the choices you make actually mean something, while in Skyrim there really isn't much change to the world or consequence for the decisions you make.

Do I need to come up with some sort of "solution" to deal with "the problem"?

Just finished up my second run of The Witcher 2. That's definitely a game you need to play twice.

I was just thinking about all the funny shit that happened to me in Grand Theft Auto IV.

I don't usually play multiplayer, but Grand Theft Auto's was a blast... for the most part.

I have recently picked up playing Guild Wars again with some friends, and intend on buying Guild Wars 2 when we've completed this game together--have any of you played it (recently, post updates and fixes) and if so would you recommend it? I'm wary of continuations of series ever since the utter betrayal that D3 was.

Salty bet meant something way different when I was a kid.

It involved my uncle, a blindfold and tasting things salty.

Just had a quick blast on Forza 4 while confirming that my Xbox is still in working condition. Last thing I want to go is buy GTAV and turn on the Xbox only to be greeted with RRODs

Just started playing "MIRROR'S EDGE" again, this time with a controller. It's much easier.
