A comment and a query:

I've noticed a lot of the regulars are either not here anymore, or have new usernames. Is there any reason why some of us were able to keep our existing profiles, while others have had to sign up all over again?

I ask simply out of pure curiosity.

No one has been asked to sign up all over again. Â If anyone feels like they have had to, then they should contact me directly and I will look into it.

As far as username changes, there was some data that was specific to the old forum that no longer exists. Â My guess is some people chose to modify their profiles using the old forums system. Â Again, if anyone has any specific requests regarding their username or other settings, then they can feel free to let me know and I'll see if I can sort them out.

Piggybacking on what Cheese said I've noticed that the "Boobies - The Tit Thread 2.0" only shows up if you're logged in.Â If you're a guest or lurking around, the thread doesn't appear at all. And if you are in guest/lurker mode and do try to access the thread you get the "Access denied - you do not have permission to view this page" response.

Yep, the Infinity forum is specifically set up this way.

From a marketing standpoint, membershipÂ may be encouraged/increased if the title of, say, the TiT Thread (or other high-traffic threads with a broader "appeal") is witnessed by a lurkerÂ without actually being logged in. It may persuade them to dive in.

Fair enough.Â Probably why I didn't see the other threads I posted last week (and subsequently asked about in this thread) when I wasn't logged in.Â

New problem on my end: I'll click on "Add Reply" or "Quote" and it'll give me the box - but I'll be unable to type.

Happened in Private Messages, too. Seems to be OK if I keep trying, then Shift+reload the page.

Any ideas on what's going on there?

Sounds similar to the problem we had when first opening the forum. Â That said it hasn't happened for me at all in the last few days (still works fine), nor should it be happening to PM's. Â Care to send a screen shot?
