Can you define what the problem is?

Personally I prefer "View new posts" and that seems to be working correctly.
:?

It's not working. As in, I click it, and it gives me a bunch of threads that I've already read.

Methinks you've done something, as this time 'round, it worked fine. I'll check again in about an hour . . .

Yeah, already knew that, but thanks anyway . . .

Yeah, looks like the "view new posts" and "view unread posts" buttons/tabs on the boards main page are working now.

Like Crow, they weren't working for me earlier today, either.

Now if I could just get the ol'e markuspoop handle up and working we'd be on easy street.

The reason I ask is that I don't know how it is supposed to work, and just want to make sure your expectations match up with how the function is supposed to behave. I've been to a few forums with a similar function and some of them behave in slightly different ways.

Anyway, I haven't played with the settings - I suspect there's still some timestamp issues happening, but they should sort themselves out over time (I hope). I'll keep an eye on it.

Hey, personal preference: but this is the very first forum where the username details are on the RIGHT and not the LEFT.

And, to put it mildly, it's freaking me the fuck out. If no one else has a problem, then I'll shut up.

But really, I'm losin' it.

Also needs "Quick Reply" box.

Also needs to immediately return you to your post after clicking "Submit".

(EDIT: Looks like it does - just takes a smidgin longer than I was prepared to wait. WTF is wrong with me, honestly.)

That will be all. Continue . . .

Noted - I prefer user details on the left as well. At this stage I'm hoping to look into editing the theme sometime later this week.

The Quote button not what you're after? Do you mean where it lets you quickly add a post without moving to a different page? If so then I'm sure there's a plugin for that.

As of the past ten minutes or so, it appears to be working like a boss.

Also, this just came up: "You may embed only 3 quotes within each other."

:?

No fuck that I like the way it looks right now. This actually feels like a proper forum. It's quick and it isn't difficult to navigate at all. I know we do have some technically deficient members *coughs Tyson*...but I imagine everyone can find there way around here fairly easily.

Seems fine to me. People shouldn't be lazy and trim their quotes so that they're relevant.

Like Mog said, this forum seems light years faster than the old one. Kudos.

Sweet. I have no other complaints or suggestions, then.

Oh, and yeah, a quick reply box is just one where you enter basic text at the bottom of a thread as a reply; usually without the "kitchen sink" options.

I'm happy either way. These are just things I'm used to in other forums.

I've switched on the ability to change your username. Please use it responsibly as I'm not sure I plan on leaving this on permanently.

On matching that avatar with my username, I doubt I'll ever change anything. It's fucking glorious.

But it's nice to know that I have the option.

Nope, still no dice.

Still just bold and non-changeable.

Email and password all still has the option to be changed, just not the login and username above all that.

Try logging out and back in again Poop?

Strange - will look into it this evening. In the meantime I retract my claim you can change your username.

Clearly, it be working for me.

And yes, I realize I'm a mod (AND a Rocker!) So maybe that's the difference?

Yeah, and you were even able to keep your original name, posts and all. Obviously it's finicky for some and not for others.

But I wasn't the only one. In fact, it was only 4 confirmed so far that weren't. Sucks to be you... (sorry, that's not nice).

So you see this:

Edit account settings

Login name: Length must be between 3 and 20 characters.

Username: Length must be between 3 and 20 characters.

And neither are editable?

Login Name should NOT be editable, and never will be. Username is what HB turned on temporarily.

Yep, exactly.

All the junk below it (email, confirm email, new password, confirm password, current password) all have the space where you can make changes.

Way to fly irrationally and improbably off the handle Ty. Actually you complained about several things, go back and check.

Somebody else please confirm whether or not you get the behavior Poop is seeing (non editable User Name), so Hellboy can troubleshoot it.

Again, this is working fine for me. So I'm changing back to my beloved moniker.

Peace Out.
