Back luck for Perth and Christchurch Tool fans. No word yet if there will be a Toolarmy pre-sale.

There's also a new article on New Zealand site 3News where Danny and Maynard talk about their love of touring down under:

"We're looking forward to coming down. It's one of my favourite places to visit, so I am very much looking forward to the show," Maynard James Keenan told me in a recent interview for Rip It Up.
"Especially because it's going to be our own, it will be a lot more fun to be able to present a contained show, because it's been so long."

After the last two festival tours, I couldn't agree more!

Hey remember when they said they weren't going to tour again until the new album was finished?  Fishing trips to Alaska are expensive I suppose.

A few thoughts: the first of these shows could be the first time we hear a new song unless an album comes out before then. The last of these shows could confirm that no new material is ready by that time, unless Mr Maynard says something on stage about the new shit.

As long as their all together, im cool. Probably will get something done. The quote about, "With anticipation high and the promise of one of the first tastes of their much-awaited upcoming album, tickets will not last long!" promise of a first taste really intrigues me, i want to know where that comes from?! Also something to consider, possible the pot video release?! If those two things add up, you boys are looking at some good shows! Damn im jealous.

Here you go, Tiresias posted this in the "Blair hints at New Zealand?" thread:

Here is an official post about the tour with quotes from Danny and MJK. http://www.3news.co.nz/Tool-to…..fault.aspx

"The biggest project of our lives," thats a pretty cool quote, no matter what you take from it from Justin. I like the style.

God damn.

Here's hoping for a Toolarmy presale.

Wow, a rare cause that us antipodeans can almost feel sorry for our European counterparts. This is our what, 5th tour since Lateralus?

They've had only 2 proper?

Christ, I hope this doesn't count against us when the album eventually drops and they do the ensuing world tour...

Christ, completely spun out right now. Excuse my random ramblings.

And here I was going to sleep last night getting excited about the rumors of Puscifer playing the "guest slot" role at SW...

wow, this is really surprised me! maybe this was news from "leftfield" Blair was talking about.

agreed, Hellboy, its a shame for the Christchurch fans, they have a had a rough time the past few years. The Auckland gig will sell out in seconds, hopefully they announce a second show for NZ.

While a release date for Tool's follow-up to 10,000 Days has not been announced, Kiwi fans may be the first in the world to hear some of the new material.

I don't know if we will or not, I guess it would be nice to debut something down that way," says Carey.

"We're working on new tunes every day, I am hoping we will have a couple ready to go."

He adds that new visuals will be created for the upcoming concert, saying: "We're working on the lighting and we'll try to do something fresh for the show."

Got it.
Interesting quotes. I agree with Hellboy, doudbtful for a new tune, although im still hopeful. But new visiuls sounds interesting. Could be a hint at The Pot video release!? Or the beginning stages of a new set for whenever the new album drops. Either way cool.

This is actually a good day for tool news. I didn't think a tour announcement would interest me, especially one outside of the states, but the little hope we have for new material being played is still exciting, and Justin's quote brings chills to my spine. They can take as much time as they want to finish this album, imo.

Biggest project of their lives?  I wouldn't exactly call Puscifer, M.T. Void, or Volto big projects.  But maybe when you add all three together....uh....yeah....

No.
