Adam has posted in Instagram a partial image of something that looks like a drawing of his. No clues as to what it is except for the hash tag #soon:



Your guess is as good as mine as to what it's for. Is it a poster for a coming tour (Tool or otherwise)? Is it some kind of artwork from the "unexpected" project or perhaps from the Pot DVD? Any other thoughts? I expect we'll hear more in the next newsletter...

Update: It appears this image is part of the artwork for the new Red Hare album.

Obviously the Pot video. Soon could mean next week or May. I wouldnt be shocked if they waited until the AUS/NZ/JP tour to unveil the video sort of like what they did with the Parabola video.

I still haven't heard it all the way through, and I'm a pretty big QOTSA fan - so you won't get any judgement from me, dood.

Texture makes it look like a poster. Similar texture to the poster I got in New Jersey this past year.


Lucky to find those albums this year. They are all great.

How does anyone not realize it's a gig poster for the upcoming tour? I mean... the mind reels sometimes.

And I don't really mean you guys, more the mountains of people on Instagram, FB, etc. ALL of them just echoing "new album finally!!!!! whooooooooo!!!!" If you follow them enough to be aware of the new album hubub, you should probably be aware they're about to tour, and this is what the gig posters normally consist of.

 

Having said that... assuming this thing is much bigger than that thumbnail, the detail is pretty insane and way more advanced and cool looking than any of the stuff I've seen him do before. Kind of excited to see what he's done.

Definitely a new poster. And from the little you can see, it looks to be a good one!!!! Jealous I wont be there. My guess is for overseas tours they have to do the posters early to bring with them. Because, the shows in the states iv heard are done really last minute, like Blair driving them to the show hot off the press. I got a poster in Ohio and they came late, during the openers to the merch stands, and still Reeked of ink, i was almost afraid to fold thinking id smear it.

He's definitely working on some posters. The shows are within reach #soon. What is it with this "Pot Video"? Why would they step backward? I don't think there's ever going to be a fucking "Pot Video" when they are looking forward at a whole new album... Anyways, I hope you Aussie fuckers and you Kiwi fuckers get to hear some new songs. These guys really love you down under. Hopefully they make it out to California soon... Bay Area will be ideal for me.

Seems really detailed for a tour poster. I doubt its a shirt, since when has any of them made any kind of hubbub about a new shirt?
