Want to hob nob with Maynard in a fancy Beverly Hills restaurant while enjoying some fine food paired expertly with his wine? Scarpetta in Beverly Hills are offering you that opportunity on Saturday the 23rd of March for the low, low price of $200 per head:

Sadly Die Eier Von Satan didn't make the menu, but I'm sure it will be a great night - just don't ask Maynard about Tool!

Next will be figurines of the band. I shit you not! Is it just me or are they becoming more of a laughing stock by the minute?

now we know why there were two motor-scooter accidents in the past few months, they were trying to jump over a shark.

For $200 a ticket I'd be surprised if it wasn't.

@Hellboy - did he really lose that much money on his Arizona vineyards and Puscifer?

Maynard has said himself he's thrown a bunch of money at his vineyards - it's a labour of love and not an exercise ine making money (though I imagine he expects it will one day if it isn't already).

I presume you're implying that he's doing events like this to try and raise the bottom line?  I doubt very much the $10k (or whatever the number is) he makes from the night will make a dent in whatever his debt is.  For what it's worth he's allegedly in the top 50 rock singer list with a net worth of $45 million, so I doubt he's going to end up on skid row any time soon.

Sign me up... Then I can troll him with questions of tool , new album etc. and nothing of wine or Puscifer ( both of which I actually enjoy). Just to watch mans head explode

I'm going to try very hard to not make any comments (beside this one) in this thread, but it'll be tough.

No wonder he's on the rich list when he's whoreing himself out for dinner dates!

Seriously though is this a charity event or something? Or maybe the band are having a competition to see who can be the biggest sell out hence the pillows an album birthday's an shit?

He'll be sitting at a different table surrounded by security.

Really that's not a bad price. I did a wine tasting paired with food and it was about $150 per head.

Well i guess this means he'll be in the LA area. Probably rehearsal for tour.

Agreed.  i was going to say that's not a bad price at all given the company, the location...there are fundraisers in this little white-bred quiet mountain town that fetch close to that per head.

That's a very normal price for a dinner/wine pairing like that. If you go to any fine dining place and get that many "by the glass" wines and a 5 course dinner, it isn't going to be much less per head once you've included tip and all that.

You said hard.

I wonder if people will be escorted out and have their camera taken away if they take any photos at the event.

Probably not making a whole lot off the event after paying the restaurant or catering service or whatever.  Seems more like a marketing ploy for his wine.

^Yeah I'd think it's safe to assume there'll be a bunch of bottles in the corner ready for purchase throughout the evening.

Oh well this is nice. It might conflict with the wine tasting I'm hosting at my house. Only $50 per person!

I'm sure this will be like any wine tasting he holds. Most of the people in attendance will be Tool fans, Maynard will get pissed, the dinner will be a huge success.

The price is not that bad at all... Scarpetta has some amazing food.

Some of you guys sound bitter. Grow the fuck up.

Sounds pretty good to me. Lobster roe, mmmm. I think it would be cool to hang out in a room and have dinner around him, get a closer look at what hes like while just hanging. Of course people are going to say this is lame, but whatever, dudes got to eat dinner anyways, why not get buzzed, make a buck, share your shit you have been working hard on, and let other people enjoy! Its definitely good any time hes in L.A. so... I couldnt give two shits if he has a fancy dinner. He and every other rock star probably will too that night, at least Maynards offering a chance to join.

I'll go. But I'm not breaking eye contact with Jimmy. So help me God.
