Can't find any videos of this - did people have to hand in their phones prior to these shows?

During the Red Rocks show MJ told the crowd that they could pull out their phones if they wanted ,during the last track Delicious. So that's the only footage i've seen so far.. Hoping to get a glimpse of Judith - does he pull the scream at the end?

How arrogant and insolent of them.

They extended the outro on Delicious, sloopy performance but expected as it was a debut. Some guy posted mp3 samples of Judith and Delcious on reddit:

Maybe if I find some cheapie tickets I’ll go now.

In regards to APC letting the last song be recorded - I think it's a pretty good compromise. Bands generally allow professional photographers to shoot for a select number of songs (usually the first couple) so I think people would be happier to comply with the "no phones" thing if the band give them some opportunity to capture a small section of the night.

Yeah that's great and all until I've been waiting all night for delicious and all I can see is a sea of cunts and their phones in my face.

The key point is at most shows, that's every song in the set.

Got my tickets for the Hulu Theater on election night. Pumped! Better to rock out than white knuckle my way through the election returns. Looks like the set list is set, but would gladly accept a change that included Breña or Gravity. The last run through Brooklyn was fantastic. Stoked for a more intimate setting.

Also excited about seeing Tricky again. I thought his sets opening for the lateralus tour were rad.

I caught the show last night in Charlotte. Good performance, and overall a good setlist but could have done without 3 Libras remix, Thx 4 the Fish, & Hourglass. I noticed quite a few empty seats around the arena. Seems to be the trend?

One too many US APC tours I reckon. They should have come to Oz/NZ/Asia instead

When they came to San Antonio a couple years back the arena was half full.

That was at the older smaller arena and Tool shows at the ATT Center (where the Spurs play) sell out like in 30 seconds.

APC is definitely a band very much of their era so it doesn't surprise me that they've lost some people over time.

I don’t if I agree with that but it’s not the same anymore.

Emotive really killed a lot of what they were for me.

They're very much an early 00s top 40 alternative rock bands. They're definitely one of the better bands in that style but I do think a large amount of their audience were more casual listeners than hardcore devotees and have probably moved on as that style has gone out of fashion.

I think Mer De Noms and Thirteenth Step APC had a very distinct sound, and I don't disagree that it's a very 90s sound.

Eat the Elephant really sounds quite different to those two albums, hence which I think many don't like the album.

Honda Center - Anaheim, California - Saturday, November 17th

The first opening band (Night Club) was an "edgy" techno pop duo: enthusiastic, energetic, and catchy but not all that remarkable.

Tricky was a trip. Dark and moody, with some serious bass grooves. Far more somber than Night Club, but a more memorable opener.

As for A Perfect Circle, I was sitting on the floor just to the right of the soundboard. The few sound issues I noticed early on I'd attribute to the Honda Center, as it's primary function is a hockey arena, but otherwise the band was dialed in. Overall, I think they sounded better at their Hollywood Bowl show last year, but Maynard was definitely more on point last night. Really, he sounded incredible.

I didn't originally plan on going to this show but a friend had a ticket and I had an open Saturday night, and it was totally worth it. So, for anyone on the fence about attending any of the remaining shows, I definitely recommend picking up a ticket. It was a great night.

Hey Norm. Glad you dug the show. I was amazed how tight they were in San Jose when they first started touring EtE. Good to hear MJK is still sounding good, let’s hope that he saves some for recording soon.

Hope the smoke clears for both of us soon.

Hey Kittaan! I haven't been following the EtE tour so the set list was a nice surprise (just realized I had Magdalena listed when it was actually Thomas).

As you said, the guys were very tight and I think Maynard's going to sound incredible on the new Tool album. Here's hoping his voice holds out for the tour(s) that are sure to follow.

Send rain! :)

^Definitely a thorough and accurate approximation of the night, although maybe not as dour as the article might make it seem. The guys rocked. The audience rocked out. Maynard made a few marijuana related jokes. Fun was had. I'd do it again. :)

Good article until

"As this current, chaotic stretch in world history arguably started with the election of Donald Trump, we can take the small risk of inferring that the “The Contrarian” is making a subtle jab at his ascendency. The lines “Hello, he lied / Beware, belie his smile / As warm and calculated as heroin / Beware the Contrarian,” hint at the endless lies that the current USA President spews and also his endlessly combative nature while guitarist Billy Howerdel masterfully invokes a wall of sonic dissonance. "

Fuck off? Just why . . .

Also learn to spell ascendancy

The journalist must either try to sturr some heated discussions or to get clicks, I can't see how it's relevant to the show at all.
Moving on... It's barely three weeks until i'll see APC again in Belgium! Let's gooo :)
