This VIP line sucks, I don't think it has moved yet.

Got some photos in my inbox not long ago from the lighting test tonight. Stage set up looks good though no radical departure from normal. Will post photos when I get home

Were there lasers involved? My wife says that she heard Adam say they wouldn't have them tomorrow. I didn't hear it but the airport is very close to the venue so I guess it's possible?

That sucks. I got two two Tool virgins with me and would like for them to see the full show. :/

Also I agree with that St. Paul show back in 2012- one of the best I've ever been to.

Rivers Edge was one of my favorite shows of all time. Totally epic!!
I don't know what he said, he was very soft spoken and claimed he had a bad cold. I didn't hear him say that but my wife said she heard it and is sticking to her story. I hope she is wrong and that he was referring to not having lights at the VIP.

Seriously- if they played the same exact same show as St. Paul Id be a happy camper.

I've seen two festival shows and they were both great. I'm not sure why Junior (or whoever said it) thought it was a "dumbed down" version of the arena shows other than maybe missing a couple of small LED screens. I actually think it works better in an outdoor setting and they should re-do the arena shows from scratch.

Just my $.02.

I know what your saying
River Edge starting 4
Hooker
Jambi
Stinkfist
Push It
Wow
Cumbre Tajin was the worst Tool show I have seen. The sound was great but there were so many fucking people there. Once I saw the fedaralis bale out and abandon their post behind the pit I knew it was time to move.

That's the video they play during Lateralus. I have no idea if what I heard was even a song, almost a remix mashup of jumbled tool...yeah that's about right.

Yup, on both statements.

Even if I heard new Tool I wouldn't know if it was a new song or not. I typically don't pay attention to what they play live inbetween songs at shows. It mostly sounds like jumbled jamming until the next song starts.

And FFS I hope they don't do an intermission- particularly at a festival. Would rather have them play an hour and 15 minutes than to go through that buzzkill.

It started with Justin playing a bit by himself. It was almost like a wings/10000 days tease but with a lot less rhythm. Then Danny and Adam came in, honestly it was fucking chaos in my brain going on at that point. I can recall thinking to myself that it was familiar and that I had heard parts of this before.

It seemed like all 3 members "teased" different riffs from other songs. If I had to guess I would say it lasted 7 minutes or so.

They are all old and will likely take their intermission. Actually Danny might stay on and do an epic solo. I hope for 12 songs and an hour and a half. Oh yeah and lasers would be great.

Oh I forgot to mention AJ is a bit under the weather. Alka Seltzer was his friend tonight, so he said. I didn't even know they still made that stuff.

I need to clarify- hope it's not the intermission from early 2014 tour where the house lights come up with a 12-15 minute timer. If they play 2 hours there will definitely be some down time inbetween songs which is understood.

That was one of the best things about the St. Paul show- they blasted through songs and kept the energy going. :)
