A couple people on Reddit indicated they got tickets for SD. Guaranteed a large number of tickets will end up being auctioned off by scalpers and other ticket services. So it goes...

TM showed right at 10:00 AM tickets were sold out. I kept re-searching for and around 10:10 AM got 3 tickets for Section B. It was rough.

Obviously a lot of people out there who want to see the band, as well as a lot of behind the scenes deals with ticket brokers and promoters going on too. That's just the business though, so I hear.

Tool's going to get paid regardless. I'm sure they prefer having "fans" in the seats, but in reality there's only so much they can do.

I agree they could do a fan sale through TA or something else, but that's never really been their focus and that's not going to change at this point.

Definitely feel bad for those folks who really wanted to go and couldn't get tickets. I have a feeling it will work out for most people though, in some way.

It'll be interesting to see if/when the band announces more dates. Hopefully that works out better now that the initial rush is over.

First pulled up Section 328 but kept trying and managed to get Section 216 for Nashville around 1:05!

I'm hoping there is another round of dates, and they are a little closer. I would be lieing if i said i wasnt considering the 8hr drive to Nashville. :S

For all those who had trouble getting tickets:

My suggestion is to make it a habit to check back every time you use the internet. Ticketmaster (and all ticket agencies) always releases more tickets at some point. Most of us the the internet every day. It might seem tedious to do so, but it takes less than a minute to check TM. But if you make it a habit to do every time you use the internet, and you use the internet every day, chances are you will be able to get tickets when more are released. This has worked in my favor many times including the first night of the Tool SF shows in 2014, AC/DC at AT&T Park, Faith No More at the Warfield, etc.

For some reason I'm very zen-like calm with this whole clusterfuck. Show's still like 1 1/2 months away. I have no doubts I'll get tickets from TM at some point.

And to add to that, not only will they release more, they'll also re-release others that were sold today but don't process correctly b/c the goober entered in their credit card info wrong, or was declined, or gave wrong address, or wasn't enough on the debit card they used. Handful of reasons why tickets bought today won't be processed.

Actually got floor seats (like 4 rows back) to a two different Tool shows, the day before the shows, doing the above desribed.

Looks like they added a second SD show on Sunday. I will continue to look for 1 for Sat. I'm sure I'll get one eventually.
