Tool play two shows at the Allphone Arena in Sydney, and this is the second one on the 4th of May.  According to the Frontier website the times for the show are:

Stage Times

6:30pm | Doors Open (Outer)
7:30pm | Doors Open (Inner)
8:00pm | Special Guest
9:10pm | Tool

*Please note times are a guide only and subject to change without notice

There are plenty of tickets left, including General Admission, so open your wallets and go along to the show.

There will be a Sip & Listen wine tasting event prior to the show held at the Quest Hotel Sydney Olympic Park from 4-7.  It's free, and you can sample a range of Maynard's wines, and hopefully be able to order some on the night.

Any discussion relevant to the show may be posted in this thread, including spoilers.  Those wanting to avoid them should leave now…

Starting to work on a backup plane - anyone have somewhere I can crash on Saturday night should the unthinkable happen tonight?

I wish I had a back up plane, you're welcome to a 2 hour drive to crash at my place after the gig (I'll be driving there and back) or the formula 1 is $150.00

Thanks Tyson, I'll take it into consideration.  At time of writing flights to Sydney aren't outrageously expensive, so seems like an option.

I'm happy to shout a twin if you buy me a few beers, knowing Sydney it'd probably work out even.

I'm surprised you don't just stay up, go back to the airport, and get the next available flight.

You'll be hurtin', but if money is THAT tight that you can't shell out $150 for a decent night's sleep . . .

O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

Hopefully I won't need to resort to this plan, but whoever were to put me up for the night would probably end up having a pretty good time at the Tool show...

not as much in the way of maryjane at the may 3rd show, would happily buy someone several beers or whatever else you want if you could help me out for tomorrow. Just PM me. Would also repay the favor if you're ever up in Canada!

While I'm as free and easy as could possibly be when it comes to drug use, I hardly think any of us want this forum to be a "drug hookup".

Should've hit Silk Road several weeks ago. Hippie.

Hooker

Sober

Schism

Pushit

Intension

Lateralus

...

Jambi

46&2

Aenema

Stinkfist

Basically Melb night 1 set with Vicarious dropped.

Good show, apart from the higher than normal meathead quota in the crowd (who the fuck circle-pits to Pushit?)

Band tight, May Jay's voice held well.

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Cool, Sydney seems to have gotten a good couple nights.   no opiate but honestly id rather hear 3rd eye over most things in their catalog. SER jealous.

NZ shows are going to be great.

What, in fuck's name, is everyone's obsession with "Opiate"? I would much rather literally anything else from any of their albums (yes, including "10,000 DAYS") than a song off of that forgettable and completely uncharacteristic EP.

Different strokes, and all that, I guess . . .
